Ulcers in face and neck

Hi,

I finished chemo at the end of March, and had 32 radiations in May-June and I was doing fine. I will have Herceptin for the rest of the year and I have had no SE at all from it.

But now - suddenly I got ulcers in my face and neck and I don't understand why I'm getting it. Has anyone of you had the same?

After the first ulcer I thought that maybe I got a bug bite, but now they start to show up all over my face and I have no clue at all why.

Any suggestion/advice?

I know some people got shingles....could it be that?  I don't know much about it. I do know I developed a skin rash on my last two chemos.  I finished chemon on 5/4 and just now am getting rid of the rash.  (I hope...knocking on wood!).  My docs have all been stumped on how to get rid of it.  I have been going to my med onc, internist and dermatologist.  I would talk to your med onc and then see if you can see a dermatologist.  Chemo just keeps giving doesn't it???  Good luck!
