A couple of weeks ago I started having severe low backhand hip pain. Family doc gave me a shot of kenelog, pain pills, muscle relaxers and sent me for x-rays & told me to call orthopedist. Family doc called to say X-ray rpt says possible arthritis in back & hip. Orthopedist says not hip arthritis and on his x-ray sees a bone bump he is "not sure what is" but doesn't think it is cause of pain - go see back guy. Looped in MO after pain lasted more than a week per his instructions at appointments & he sent me for sent for bone scan this past Wednesday.



Long story short (not after that first paragraph) I am now pretty nervous. Especially since the original x-ray report "suggests" the bone bump is a bone spur. I'm thinking my orthopedist would know a spur when he sees one. I just want the bone scan results back so I know if the danged cancer has returned.

Thank you mebmarj.  I think I'm just having "scanxiety".  Sometimes pretending for my friends and family that I'm not worried gets to me.

Good news, apparently, being treated for BC makes you old die even at 43. Back pain is just arthritis and maybe a bit of sciatica.
