I'm not taking a supplement, but I do use it on my food. I use a mixture of curcumin, garlic, salt,, and pepper. I put it on everything I  make, and even use it with olive oil on my salads.

Yes.  Recommended by my naturopathic oncologist.  He actually specifically suggested the supplement BCQ by Vital Nutrients.  Has Boswellia, Bromelain, Curcuma and Quercetin.

Yes, I take it.  It was recommended by my primary doc, and okay'd as beneficial by the integrative specialist I saw.  I actually use Essential Turmeric, from which curcumin is derived, because I strongly believe in taking the whole food to get the full spectrum of naturally occuring synergestic nutrients.   Deanna

I am very interested in taking turmeric after I am done with chemo. Can I take turmeric powder??? I have read that it's more effective when mixed with black pepper and kills cancer cell stems. Any experience with this?? Karina

Hi Katrina - saw this post of yours.  I am taking turmeric fresh.  I juice half a thumb size with my organic carrot, apple, orange, celery and lime every morning.  Strong taste but its ok.  you get used to it.  Used to do that 5 years back but sloppy me just slackened.  Now will make it a daily ritual.  Over here we use it in our curries too and instead of coconut milk I have been told we can substitute with yoghurt.

Using it in my food too. Olive oil, black pepper & curcumin every or every other day.

Frances, fresh sounds great, I would love to have it fresh myself, but where I live, we don't have it. So my husband will get me the powder from the UK and I will have it with black pepper. Can I use your mixture, but fresh ginger instead of turmeric??? We have ginger in supermarkets here.

I've taken Life Extension Super Curcumin w/ bioperine for about four years. 3 caps per day.

You gan google Dr. Bharat Aggarwal at MD Anderson and all his research on Curcumin.

FWIW, one nutritionist suggested taking turmeric powder (i.e. put it in some gel caps from the natural food store)

I also use Life Extension Foundation's Super Curcumin.  I take 800mg/2x daily.  However, I have seen the recommended dose at 2400 mg.
