New Diagnosis

I have been diagnosed with IDC Grade 3 Stage 2. I can't remember how large they said that it is but I know over 2cm. I will be doing a research study using Abraxane and Carboplatin along with possibly veronistat(sorry if I misspelled the last one). I will have 12 treatments once a week. I was just wondering what I should expect with this. Meaning how soon and how much hair loss, being able to work after infusions and other things that I am not sure to ask about. I will begin chemo after I have some of my eggs stored. So in about 2 weeks I will start chemo. My plan is suppose to be chemo-surgery-radiation. Does anyone know if there will possibly be something after that being that I am triple negative?  Thanks in advance for your help;)

I don't know anything about this particular chemo combo.  Hopefully someone will be able to comment.  You should also check out the chemo board for threads on this combo.  I did taxotere and cytoxan and was able to work throughout treatment.  My hair started falling out exactly 14 days after the first treatment, just like they told me.  I don't know if this timeframe varies by chemo.

There is a good thread on the chemo board with tips on surviving, dealing with SEs, etc. Everyone varies, but I found chemo to be much much easier than I anticipated.  Rads were harder on me, although not bad either.

There is no other treatment beyond chemo, surgery and rads for TN.

    Good luck!

Thanks for responding. I will copy this in the chemo forum. I hope that things go good for me with chemo as well
