nipple color

I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place, I'm new, but I can't seem to get an answer from drs. I have a family history of breast cancer and recently had a wedge resection done, came back benign. I still have a sharp burning pain in my right breast and the nipple is very dark while the left one is very light colored. Dr has never addressed the pain and my one aunt who is currently fighting bc said she had pain as a symptom.

I would consult your doc...maybe you have an infection. That could be the cause of the pain and discoloration.

Hope you get resolution soon.
