Going to cut way back on caffien before my MRI on 9/6. Not sure if it will help but it can't hurt!
-
Anticipating my MRI on 9/6. Then Onc. 9/9. I hope this thing has really shrunk! I know it has a lot but it still seems to be pulling the nipple in!
Has anyone else had this? -
Pretty good news! The cancer has shrunk to a 1cm by 2cm area! The oncologist was very pleased! Then I saw the surgeon and he did a wedge biopsy to see if there are any residual cancer cells and if not I can have a lumpectomy! Yay!
-
I also have no mutations on BRCA1 or2!
-
anyone else on Arimidex?
-
Phooey! Wedge biopsy showed cancer cells. More than likely UMX now. Has anyone in a wheelchair had to deal with this?
-
I see my surgeon on Thursday to remove the sutures from the wedge biopsy. He has a meeting with his colleagues that afternoon and is presenting my case for their opinion and will call me after to discuss surgery options and radiation. I, the eternal optimist was really hoping for a different outcome after the chemo. It DID shrink it tremendously but if I need a UMX what's the difference? Was it a waste? Confused and frustrated!
-
It is what it is...I will have a UMX and am trying to schedule and coordinate all the appointments. I see the plasticsurgeon 10/6 for a consult. Then I need to schedule with the radiation oncologist and the surgeons office is trying to set something up before 10/20! And the surgeon and the plastic surgeon need to coordinate so they are both there so the PS can place the expander at the time of the mx!! Yikes! Has anyone had expanders? What do I have to look forward to with that? Feedback please!
-
Am I in the wrong place? I am surprised that no one has any comments! Feel like I'm wasting my time....
-
Hi Nettie, This is my first post so I probably don't have very much advice, but I wonder if you moved to the Stage II category if you would get more replies. I just hated to see no one responding to your post.
-
Stage I and Stage II are combined on one forum.

Hi Sara,
Thanks for your post! The reason I am on this board is due to the fact that I also have MS! I figured it made sense but it's obviously not working, hence my frustration! If I switch forums will my thread transfer too?
