supplemental health insurance

I have stage 1b ductal carcinoma. My health insurance (Aetna in SW Pa) barely covered my lumpectomy and my other surgery to clear the margins. In the next month, my employer is changing our insurance to highmark. They aren't sure if they will cover my expenses, reconstruction, etc since it is a preexisting condition.



As it is, I am barely keeping afloat financially. Are there any avenue I can explore to help make sure I keep insured? Perhaps supplemental insurance or medical assistance? Any help is appreciated

Unless you had a gap in coverage, you shouldn't have a "preexisting".  Sounds like whoever you spoke to perhaps gave you some incorrect information.
