Hi. I will be starting treatment at Rex cancer center soon. Is anyone in the NC area? Has anyone used the Rex Cancer Center? I am seeing Dr. Moore. Thanks

Jamie-My dad was treated at Rex for lymphoma for 2 years ago. I went with him to most of his appointments and chemo infusions and the office staff and nurses there are wonderful. I don't know anything about Dr.Moore and hope that some of the other ladies on this board can give you feedback about him/her. Wishing you the best as you begin your treatments.

I'm in Cary. I was just diagnosed with DCIS. Whenever I
figure out what I'm doing, I'll be at Rex. BS is Dr. Hamad.

mnc, I am sorry to meet you this way but glad to meet you! So far my experience with Rex has been wonderful. My BS was Dr. Crowley at Tolnitch Surgical Breast Surgery Center and my PS is Dr. Lambeth. They are both on Lake Boone which is great since they are across the street from Rex. My surgery experience was awesome. They have a Breast Cancer Navigator that will come by and talk to you, gives you a bag full of goodies related to your surgery, and she held my hand during my test and injections before the surgery. It was better than I ever hoped for. I will be doing my treatment at the Rex Cancer Center. If I can help with anythng just let me know! Best of luck to you!

I'm in the Triangle area, but went to UNC. BS is Dr. Amos. He's wonderful!

I love REX and they are connected with UNC. Which also happens to be my die hard basketball team, lol. Hope everything is going okay for you guys!!! MNC have you found out anymore info yet. I found some really helpful stuff at the Rex Cancer Center when I went for my first chemo yesterday. IF I can help you with anything just let me know. If you have to have chemo, I can share with you some really great websites. There are a few that send out free scarves or hats. And one called Chemo Angels which sends out cards and stuff. I hope to be able to give back after I am done with this. They are an awesome group. Also, Rex is having the Look Good, Feel Better class on August 1st. If you have kids they have a really cool once a month group for kids and parents. Just let me know if you need any help and I will gladly help you!
