Need some assistance here. Had breast ca in 2005,had left mastectomy, chemo, rads, and arimidex. Last year had right mastectomy, chemo, tamoxifen  My onc. sent back the slides for a double check.   4 months later, developed supraclavicular, now off tamoxifen, on faslodex and getting rads to supraclavicular.  Just had my slides re-read at a University Hosptial, and these are the results:

 Rt Breast-2010

Hormonal receptors: ER Focally weak positive (2%)

PR:Negative

Her-2neu overexpression: Negative

Her-2neu by FISH is negative

Rt. Supraclavicular

Metastatic carcinoma is focally weak positive (2%)

Now I am wondering, am I being treated correctly-WTF!!!

When you say you wonder if you're being treated correctly, are you referring to having been given Arimidex and Tamoxifen in the past, since you are so weakly ER+, or to your current regimen?  Or are you asking the question in general b'cuz you've had two recurrences (or a 2nd primary, if your R MX was for another bc, and a recurrence)?  I guess if I was in your situation, I would do 2 things.  I would sit down with your onc and ask why certain choices (like Tamox & the A/I, and whatever else is concerning you) were made, so that you understand their thinking on it.  Then I would also get a second opinion from another medical team at a different institution -- just for whatever additional light they might be able to shed on your situation, as well as your own peace of mind.

Good luck, and please let us know what you find out.    Deanna

The stats in a recurrence can change dramatically, so it could be that your supraclavicle recurrence has different stats than your original dx.
