To the newly-diagnosed, I would highly recommend the video (better if you can catch on TV) made by a lady while she was going through the process, chemo and rads.

I was lucky enough to happen to watch it just around the time of my diagnosis and it really helped me understand what I was about to go through.  It saved me a lot of uncertainty and fear and I was able to better face the music.
