7 year survivor Hip calcifications

Options

Hi,

It's been awhile since I have been here. It's been over 7 years and I have been cancer free. Both of my hips have been very painful right worse than left. Had cortisone injections for bursitis. Left cleared right up, right is still as painful if not more. Pain goes into pelvis and down inner thigh to knee. When I had x-rays of my hips the Dr. said I had hip calcifications, of course when I heard that word I froze and didn't hear another word from him. Can't really find anything online. Has anyone else had problems like this??? I know I need to go back in and get it checked out further but always like as much info as possible beforehand.

Thanks for any info you can share with me.

Calcifications just means too much calcium in the blood that can settle in unwanted places. Tartar on the teeth, bone spurs. kidney stones, gall stones or calcifications on other bones or even in the arteries.

It can be caused by lack of vitamin K or incorrect ratio of calcium to vitamin D intake.  Just because we take calcium doesn't mean it's going into our bones.  For that we need the other vitamins plus plenty of exercise.

I take vitamin K2 and it's got rid of the tartar.  I also used to have heel spurs and have had kidney stones. My feet are always callused too, another sign. Of course my doctors and dentists never mentioned nutrition or supplements, I only found out recently by googling.

Seven years is great, one day you'll be saying 14 years!
