Hi, Friends:

I have at least one spot of fibrotic tissue (is that even a word???  Fibrosis?  Fibrosized?  Fibrotic?  I give up. HARD TISSUE) in my upper arm that I cannot seem to get rid of.  My LE therapist gave me a pillow thingy to put under my bandages when I wrap, but it seems kind of useless.  I am massaging, but is there anything else I can do?  It's a small spot...maybe the size of two quarters together, but it's more than a little annoying.   And of course, it's painful.   Any suggestions?

Suzy, I think the word is fibro-idiotic.Frown

Have you tried a Swell Spot (Solaris)? If it's on your upper arm you'll want the sort of long oval/rectangle kind with the straight stitching to direct flow up toward the shoulder. Or you could try a "chocolate bar" foam piece for more aggressive action (Lymphedema Products sells them). JoviPac sells cherry-pit-stuffed spots that are VERY aggressive, so you'd want to be watchful with those (don't use them at night when you're sleeping, and check on it every couple of hours).

This being cherry season I've been munching them and eyeing the pits for a do-it-yourself project. Hmmmm...... Nah!Tongue out

    Keep us posted, please!

If you did a DIY cherry pit project, when you washed the item would the pits not sprout?  Maybe the drier would prevent that.  Interesting idea.
