Anyone out there ever have this issue?  I am trying to figure out (playing doctor), why my tongue has been tingling for quite some time.  Doctors can't figure out.  I have been looking and looking and one source says low calcium, which hasn't been checked, but going to ask on Tues. Also my Vit. D level is at 18 (low), which I was told to take 2,000units.  This is really getting to me!

Hi Shari, Boy, you have been going through it lately!

There are a lot of things it could be, but since your Vitamin D is low it would make sense that your calcium could be low too.  Hopefully, when you start up the vitamin D it will diminish the feeling, Have your doctor's do a CBC (which should include calcium levels) and also PTH.  It could also be an effect of treatments.

You're in my prayers, I hope you feel better soon.

    ((Hugs))

Yes PTH is parathyroid.  It is very annoying, I have the opposite of you, my calcium is through the roof, but my vitamin D is low despite taking whacking great doses.  I've been searching for reasons for a while, the whole medical team is on it, but no answers yet...I see the hematologist on Wednesday, he is the last of my doctors and then I am lost in the unknown.

Let me know what you find out, your doctors seem to be a little more with it than mine!
