Hello everyone, I am new to the discussion board but I was wondering if anyone has similar symptoms. I was diagnosed in August 2009, I discovered the lump in July shortly before I turned 39. Today I am doing great . I had a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, in October 2010 I had the implant exchange and nipple reconstruction in February 2011 , I recently started feeling chest pain and pain on the implant area, sometimes my shoulder blade and arm and neck, more so when I move and the pain worsens if I wear a bra or tight clothes. When I told my onc I had back pain also and I thought it was related and she told me it sounded muscular and this is what I thought as well but when the back ache was gone and the chest pain remained I called my PS and he said it is normal but if it stays longer they will do an MRI. I don't know what to think, does anyone have similar symptoms? Can it be PMPS? Your responses would be helpful :)

I have had pain during the entire process, and I have pain now even though i am supposed to be finished with reconstruction. It hurts. No one knows what to to say to us when it hurts even though it shouldn't. I deal with it, but it sucks.

Hi crazykitties thanks for the reply. Are you having similar pain? Mine has gotten better in the past 3 days but I have had it for over a month straight, I couldn't even lift anything, it is a mystery. I called to see if my ps can see me today but he is away for 2 weeks, my onco wants me to see him first so he can evaluate me and the she will take it from there but anyway I told her that the pain is gradually going away so she said that this all a good sign. What do you do to manage the pain and how is that they don't know? Did they do an MRI ?

I just try to stretch a lot and I take motrin. I can't take narcotics unless it is life or death! I may try a compression bra again.  xoxoxo

Apparently pt is going to be next step, my ps mentioned it but I had to do an MRI to clear everything and luckily it was all good, but I haven't heard from my ps because it was my onco who called me Friday to let me know even though my ps was the dr who ordered the MRI, I will wait to hear from him regarding the next step but my pain is gradually going away, after 2 months something has got to give..
