Plastic Surgeons At St Mikes (Toronto)

Hi all,

 I am new to this forum and so happy I found it. I had a mastectomy on April 15th and I am recovering fine. Prior to surgery they weren't sure if I would also need radiation because they thought there was chest wall involvement.

 I am good to go so my next step is reconstruction. Has anyone had this done at St Mikes? If so, can you let me know how you thought it went. Did you like the PS? You can PM me if you rather not say anything public.

 I have heard some mixed reviews so not sure if I want to proceed there or try to go somewhere else.

Hi Calypso -- sorry no one has been along on this thread with the info you're looking for.  St. Mike's Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery has at least one doc who specializes in breast reconstruction -- Dr. Melinda Musgrave.  You can check out her credentials by going to this site:

Sometimes the best thing to do is make an appt for a consultation and ask lots of questions.  Also ask to see photos of the surgeries she has done.
