Had a mammogram done a month ago and was sent for a chest CT csan. A new spot was seen on my right breast. They had already been monotoring me for calcifications haveing breast cancer 11 years ago. Had spread and non spread cancer at that time. Now scheduled for an appointment to see a surgeon on May 10th. Not sure what that will lead to. I already had a lumpectomy and radiation same breast. A little nervous- Any advice??

    Lil1st,

I don't have any advice but just want to say I am sorry you are having to go through this again. May 10th must seem like years away! The hurry up and wait part of breast cancer is terrible for our nerves. Are any of your doctors ones that you have had in the past? Do you still have a medical oncologist? Is the surgeon someone you have known in the past? My only advice would be to write down everything you can remember from before, dates and DXs,Txs etc. I never can think straight when I am anxious so need to have notes to be able to fill out new medical history forms. Good luck!

Have not seen my oncologist in a few years now so probably have a new one in Maine if needed. Can a radiologist determine if calcifications be benign? Mamoo. said probable-
