The National Lymphedema Network has just issued a new Position Paper, titled "Screening and Measurements for Early Detection of Breast Cancer-related Lymphedema." It calls for pre-treatment baseline measurements for future reference, consistent follow-up measurements, and asking patients about heaviness, achiness and/or swelling of the affected arm and truncal areas at evey follw-up visit.
