Ugh, CT scan tomorrow

So I've been trying to be silent about this and not complain yet again, but my GP is sending me for an abdominal CT tomorrow because of the pain/lump I am feeling just below my right ribcage and towards the center.  It just feels like something is in there, and I can actually feel a bulge (he could feel it too so it's not just my imagination) through my skin.  So freakin weird.  The doc says it doesn't scream cancer, but could possibly be a hemotoma from my reconstruction (DIEP) surgery end of January.  Seems as though a strange spot for that to show up unless they do more tugging and pulling from under the skin than I was made aware of.

So just praying it's not anything more insidious.  Strange how a hemotoma or a hernia would be a "good" thing for me to have right now.

I am so sorry you have to get back on the worry train...........and waiting is the hardest part.  I don't have experience with what you're dealing with, but I'll go with your doctor and say that it could be related to something else.  Prayers and good vibes headed your way.

Keep thinking positve thoughts: i.e. hematoma!! I actually had a hematoma on one of my breasts post-reconstruction. We think my 3 year old had kicked me there without my even realizing it (since there's no sensation, yikes) and it turned into a big swelling bulge!.

Hope it's something like that for you -- try not to worry!

oh sharon! you are NOT complaining. this is what we are here for. I'm so sorry for your worry...but sounds good that the doc isn't overly concerned. Surgery does strange things to our bodies, so anything really is possible.

lots of prayers for you tonight. Have peace, hang on to what the doc said, it does not scream cancer. Dr's are very careful about what they say, that is a good sign that he/she said that.

none of this weird stuff that goes on with our bodies is easy to deal with.  we get it.  lumps...pain...feelings that are weird...is all a part of being an advocate for yourself...getting things checked out.  it is so hard sometimes.  hang in there and let us all know what is going on. prayers* keep on*

Your situation is very much like mine..I have been with this pain even before i was diagnosed..I had CT scan but they said that they did not see anything mass of lump, but, a little cyst..I am really confused because i really feel discomfort on my right ribcage and felt like there is something inside, they always says nothing..It's just so frustrating to think that there is nothing but i felt it..I am happy to that there is nothing as long as i dont feel pain or discomfort..I hope you can find the answer too because your case is just like mine..I am praying that there is nothing serious in your case, so we can have peace of mine..My thoughts and prayers..Please keep posted..God bless!..

No word yet, but thanks for checking in girls.  I actually didn't feel it as much yesterday, but today it's bothering me again.  Went to a meditation class last night and to the gym today.  I NEED those endorphins right now.

Sorry you're going through this stress.  I do think surgery can result in some very strange side effects, so I'm voting for a surgery related lump. We'll all be waiting with you.

Well you all got me through another scare----doc says it's a pocket of fluid more than likely from all the tugging and pulling they had to do with the DIEP procedure!   He said everything else looked completely normal---liver, etc!!!!!  He said it was definitely there so it was NOT a figment of my imagination.  He told me that it should go away on it's own but if it didn't it could probably be aspirated (YUCK!), although he did remark since it's not his area of expertise if I had any more questions to check with my surgeon.

Still hurts, but at least I know it's B9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
