I do an online blog for the Albany NY Newspaper - The Runners Blog. They interviewed me today for a "blogger bio". My blogs are obviously about running but running and surviving too as well as hoping to inspire others to do what they think they cant.
I will post a link to bio when it is done.
PS - How bout that hair, huh? I will be 3 years from diagnosis in 2 months.
Life is good.

Mary....you look fantastic!!!! Great pics!!! And I agree with Cindy....how do we get a Because Mary Says So bracelet......
-
Gosh, Sharon...I was JUST thinking of getting a tattoo. The trouble is, I haven't a clue what to get. I was thinking maybe a bible verse...but then the question is..where?
-
I have quite a few tattoos though most people who don't know me - don't know that I do and would be surprised.
I have "Hope" on my wrist with two pink stars. I got it after I finished treatment. There was a time I looked at that tattoo 10 times an hour to remind myself to have hope for the future. I love it.
I have "Long May She Run" on the arch of my foot. My husband does too. We got it after I finished radiation. It represents me returning to running and life, in general. After I did my marathon I got 26.2 (miles run in a marathon) tattooed next to it in ocean blue (It was a marathon along the ocean in newport ri)
I have "anchors aweigh" on the arch of my other foot and a copy of the anchor tattoo that my dad had on his arm. He was in the navy but got the tattoo when he was 71! He had open heart surgery years and years ago and as they were wheeling him away he yelled "anchors aweigh" down the hospital coridoor. It was what I wanted for him when he was dying. I got the tattoo on his 85th bday and he got to see it (and loved it - very egotistical) and he died less than a month later.
I have an irish claddagh on my lower back - pre cancer - represents love, faith and family. And I got a clover on my upper back (tiny) when I was in Ireland 2 years ago.
and I have a flower on my ankle that I got a long time ago.
oh and nipple tattoos!
:-) I am convinced tattoos cure cancer :-) cant wait to get my next one though I have no idea what it will be or where

Beautiful Mary :-)

Wonderful, Mary!!! Love the pix of you as a toned and fit woman. So very important. I am convinced more and more of this.
(I am saying this dragging butt big time from an early season cycling event.)
Thanks again for everything you are doing to inspire BC patients. YOU are making the difference. - Claire
