Who asked about MJ??? Hell it's legal in a couple of states now--we all want to live in those state, so no judging here that's for sure. And everyone is so different--the first 4 months I got chemo weekly and the first 2 days I worked and felt great then Thurs I stated slowing down but I kept it up for 4 months---Then after I still got it weekly but different cocktails, so I didn't work for another year and 1/2 cuz then I was getting lazy. so it's different. Now I'm retired and I work my little job at home----And BTW NO JUDGEMENT here at all. LOL

Morning girls!   I just wanted you to see what KEPT ME UP THE WHOLE DAMN NIGHT!   So this morning I get up and sent this letter to my "Dear Daughter that won't listen in Orlando....."   And tell me if you think she will get the point!  I need help with this, before I go nuts!

"Okay, I woke up again in the middle of the night, and could NOT go back to sleep.....  It's like you get something on your mind, and you can't chase it off, no matter how hard you try....

So I'm up at midnight until 2, giving my mind a break.  I watched cops, until even I know how to book a drunk!

So after I helped all of  them out, I could take off my clothes, take my hearing aids out, shut the lamp and TV, and get on with sleeping.

Seems my main concern is your sweet persistence that you are bound and determined to get us a dog, on an emergency basis when you come out here!  I wake up in the middle of the night, and get this sinking feeling, that you will take matters into your own little two hands, and bring us home another D.O.G..........  I'm afraid if you did it THIS time, we would send it home with YOU to Orlando.

THAT'S IT!  WE WILL COME OUT THERE, AND GET YOU OUR BEAUTIFUL SHERI, A NICE LITTLE BULL MASTIFF, OR SOME SORT OF COMPANION, FOR YOU, MY LITTLE SWEET PEA!

So just consider this your monthly "WE DO NOT WANT YOU TO GET US NO DAMN DOG."

We love you sweetheart, but you seem to relentlessly get these things stuck in your mind, and you can't let them go.... it is like a dog with a bone!  You can't give it up....

I'm going to try this once more.....  Honey, when we want a dog, we will get one.... might be next month, (highly unlikely) or next year, or maybe even never!

I even paragraphed all this nicely, in the hopes that it would be easier to read and understand...

What I'm trying to say is....  We are both doing just fine, and the two little puppies you have given us, have made us forever eternally grateful, but I would like for you to consider this important thought, that we don't want you to do this again...... Wait, let me re-iterate this point once more......

"Honey, don't you dare get us another dog.... not this year, not next year, and probably never."

Okay..... so guess that's all the news for now....  I woke up in a cold-sweat, with that sinking feeling, just KNOWING my little Sheri, has this bug in her bonnet, and will surprise us with another dog..

Please, oh bright one.... just know that I will send that dog back, like Dad says..... by "air-mail" and you will wind up with one, whether you want one or not.

Me and Dad want to play now.... and not worry about hurrying home to tend our other Son/Daughter.....  We want to take cruises, and climb mountains....  Walk barefoot up a 14er!  In the snow!   We want to gamble and stay all night..... every night, and not never go home!

How's that?   So if you want me to explain it even "clearer"....I can't.

    Love you oh getsomethinginherheadandwon'tletitgo Daughter!!

    All my love..... Mom! xoxoxoxoxo"

    Good Morning Ladies.

Well Chevy u made u'r self clear to me, but if u'r DD is like u FORGETABOUTIT, now just for a reference

although I find it hard to believe u'll be walking in the snow, or gambling all nite, it was good to throw in. But I have to say I did the same thing and within a month I got another cat and I said to my DD I will not take care of her, well that's the one who sleeps with me now and cuddles like crazy. So they know we're hurting but they still think they can solve the problem so they feel good. Pardon the expression, but it might fall on deaf ears--so be semi-prepared but not completely. But u didn't completely convince me--I think u went to far when u said u'd stay up all night--to to much--We all know u'r limit is like 8-9 PM so u should have left that out. Maybe u will hold her off for a while, but I know how u feel--cuz the mourning isn't over.

Cami, I taped the Beatles, but haven't watched it yet. Since this is the 50th Anniversary since they hit American soil, I've been thinking all week about them and their impact on me.

I had just turned 13. The news showed them getting off the plane in NYC. My mom pointed them out to me. I thought they looked Totally Disgusting with all of that long hair. Then on Sunday night we watched them on the Ed Sullivan show. My parents were still disgusted, but I was smitten! Head over heels for Paul McCartney!

A few months later I asked my dad for their album, Meet The Beatles. It was $2.99 or so. He said, "no." I told him I'd run away if I didn't get it. To which he replied, "I'll buy you a suitcase." Lol

Wren - I think you're right about slice/bake cookies. The ever prepared hostess in her apron.

OK someone give me a lesson in resizing images. Can copy/paste no problem but I'm not using the tabs in the composing box. Up until a month or so you got an edit box in image but not anymore. Help

Tang - no judgement here. I've never tried it but then I've not faced chemo so I'm certainly not one to judge. Our gov. and the presumed Democratic candidate both seem to favor legalization in Texas. I would not have bet on that in a million years. Heck this state can't even figure out gambling but sounds like we'll get MJ sooner rather than later - at least medical. My county only became wet a few years ago. Once the 1st one is done you'll feel better. Thinking of you now - 10:30.

Chevy - I completely understand about the dog. I think I want another one but realistically this is prob. our last. If we wanted to travel, stay out all night, etc. it would certainly be. I have a good vet and boarding but she did not eat the last time she was there, even her food. They tried all the chicken free food they had. I'm pretty sure it's not the chicken but she still hasn't had any. Cats are different. Litterboxes can wait a couple days if you leave them clean and food/water left out. DD leaves hers for 2 nights only but she cat sits for someone who goes for a week at a time - paid well for it so a boon for her.

Paula - my mom said close to the same thing. Something like go ahead and do it. Where ever you go, they'll send you back. DD never made the threat, she knew she had it good.

tang-hope you get through this ok. In your pocket and wherever else would help.

Ladies, I have a question. Last night it took 2 pain pills before my right arm, upper area, but underneath would stop hurting. Now it's under the shoulder blade. No fever, feeling a little crappy. Do you thing it's anything to do with the implants?

Smaarty - Gosh me neither. Question - are you the one who had shoulder problems after surgery or was that someone else?  It was on Insomniacs. Has righty been a problem b4? Probably worth a call to PS/BS before the day gets away from you. That's what they get paid for.

Chevy first--- I had my first chocolate coke at Sonic HMMMMMM. Second, if they did it before they'll do it again, but you tried. I have had dogs my entire life and as you wouldn't have traded your two I wouldn't of traded any of mine. But only a few trips were ever taken b/c we made the dogs a priority.  It would be nice to travel even for alittle while.

Blessings Too funny, I put it in the topic  box. the owls flew around, btu I put them right back on their perches. Used to take me and hour os so, now it's a couple of minutes LOL.

Teka one of my Brits did that with lipstick ---of course the carpeting had only been in a couple of weeks,

Soteria---I wasn't paying attention---only caught the last 15 minutes of the Beatles. Sure hope the replay it.

Spookie, still don't know about the 22nd. I'll ket you know when I know.

Well good news about the rocker. The owner that I thought so highly of regretfully is ill for last 3-4 weeks----not happy he's sick, but happy my rocker is likely going to be okay. Worried that the taking apart and putting back together might have been a problem. A Humdy-dumpty thing. A metal bentwood shaped rocker highly unusal. That's why I'm re-doing it right. could last avery very long time done well.

Luvmygoats, Where did you get a photo of my family? It looks so much like some I have. The kid in back would be my mother (who died in her 20's), woman on the right her mother (whom I call Mom because she raised me), and the one on the left, her mother (my great grandmother). Perhaps the farm in the photo is a little nicer than theirs. Ggma always wore that apron and Mom had the dress. They lived in Missouri and Kansas, so even the landscape looks right.

I know there are places in the country that have it awful bad with the weather, BUT today in the vicinity of kennedy space center-------it's stunning. Bright blue skies. Crisp air. Blowing nicely. Long pants and sweater temp. Delightful.

I run my dogs on a back road next to a horse ranch. Schatzi --german wired haired pointer --gorgeous dog 75 lbs. I can run her off leash. I drive in the car behind her. She has the freedom dogs love. She doesn't bother the horses or the gopher tortoises. Trouble though if the pesky cat shows up. Then she dives into the woods. Dini is the lab also 75lbs. I run Dini on a leash from the car.

They love it. Today was special b/c of the weather. Usually they run .8 miles. Today, I let each of them run +- 2 miles. They signal when they are done by running closer to the car. It took a long time to train them. They each run at there own pace. Usually about 10 mph. When they open up it's 19-20 mph.

    Talk about smiling dogs :)

Hello ladies, just checking in real quick....I'm home from the first chemo. I'm feeling a little queasy so I took one of my meds to help that. IDK if its just in my head or the real thing, the onco nurse said I'd probably start feeling SE's later in the weekend. I'm getting TAC, my pee was red once, now its okay. Tomorrow I go back for my iron infusion and neulesta shot.

    hugs and love!
