Patty-Cakes ~ Hootie Hoo! Wasn't there recently a Birthday for you?

Image result for happy belated birthday meme

A certain little birdie and a queenly kitty have birthdays coming up soon too 🎂

M0mmy ~ Love the giggles you share on the Warm and Fuzzies page. Even when you are feeling yucky, you still post things to make others smile. Hope you are feeling better every day ((hugs))

Wren ~ I am not a fan of bridges in good weather - the one you described would give me nightmares!!!

    Miss Blue ~ Yay! Dodging bullets is an awesome feat! Your DH tries to cook? Lucky..... My FF can't even properly cook canned soup. The few times he has consented to make me canned chicken noodle soup, I have to remember to tell him to add water (as per instructions on label) - he doesn't like the broth part and will either not add the water or strain the broth out. How is that still soup? Hoping you stay healthyish. - Just tell those docs;

    image

Smaarty! ~ We've been missing you! Evie and folks have moved back home? You must be over the moon with joy! 2 years old? Weren't we all just anxiously awaiting her birth? Where does the time go? I miss seeing pics of her. And Elena too. (Susan can you hear me?!) We need an updated pic of little Benjamin Bunny too - the Beatrix Potter quilt you made for him was so wonderful ; Have you gotten to read any of the stories to him? Love your latest quilts too. You are a very talented lady!

Sensi ~ Thinking of you and hoping for all the best for Chance and for you 💟

MammaRay ~ Ha! I have a lonely sewing machine as well. We have the same skills!

Sassy ~ Shame on you! I know just what song it is you taught our sweet and innocent MammaRay. Tsk, tsk!

Lookie ~ Are you out having traveling adventures? You had talked about heading East for your next trip. Are you going to the States and if so which ones?

    Hey Tapper!

    Hello Susie!

Waving to Teka! (who needs to share more of her Teka Kitty pics)

    Bowing to Queenie :)

Looking for Eeyore - need a better spy glass I reckon.

Feline ~ DH is from NC; he is probably well versed in stormery. So relieved you all stayed safe. Met Éireann - is that Gaelic ? None of my people can speak it, but I did have a dear friend who did. She was not able to teach me, though I would have loved to learn.

Luv n' Hugs to All the Owlies

    And for Junie ~

Yes Shep, DH dun had a few gales now! He was in Charlotte for Hugo in '89. Met Eireann = Meterological Service of Ireland (Eireann = of Ireland), Met is just shortened from the full title.

We also had a record breaking wave apparently, a weather buoy registered the biggest wave ever recorded off the Irish coast. Tall as a 6 storey building. Glad I wasn't at sea for that one! Unsurprisingly, that particular buoy was ripped from its moorings shortly afterwards and had to be recovered after the storm.

The ship that recovered it was called the MV Puffin.

One thing I noticed after the hurricane was the windows (house and car) were very dirty. It was an African hurricane essentially, so carried a lot of sand and dust. Went to the local car wash as the visibility on car windows was so bad, I just needed them clean for a journey right away. Well there was a huge queue for the service. Cashier told me business was hopping. As the saying goes "it's an ill wind that blows no good"!

House windows can wait for the next rainfall!!

Feline, Thanks for the wind speed. Odd, I never found out what our wind speed was. Hahah, it was fast. I did read after last post that the 3 poor people killed were all tree related. Like I said they can be lovely, but in a storm they can be deadly and terribly damaging. That's why I cut all mine down. Sad. But the thought of them coming through the roof is something I chose not to worry about anymore. I apologized to them when they were being cut down.

Blue, you are so funny. I was in Akron then. That was the blizzard of 1978. Fun time. Akron was terrible place for storms. It's on seven hills. No matter where you went it was difficult to avoid those hills. ....My Di (cleaning gal) was telling me about CBD oil. There's a thread here on BCO. I have it in my Favs, but have never read it. Think about going to 10mg on the Melatonin. That one article has melatonin as being good for Breast cancer and MBC at a dose between 10-30 mg.

Shep something haha Medically fascinating That's a good term. Me too. YES, I did teach our innocent MammaRay THAT song. it works.

Loverly, glad you caught the error on checkin WED 27th. (Shep). I had to pay an upfront cost. You are well traveled, have you ever heard of that? My experience is that they want a credit card number, but no payment until due at checkout.

Junie, the fact that Kirby did it by the door, just means he couldn't hold it, but knew where he should go. Any access to cheap incontinence pads?

Waving, to one and all :)

I know most everyone here gets uncomfortable with even the slightest mention of politics. Well then by pass this.

Approximately 72 hours ago Congresswoman Fredireca Wilson (D, Fl) chose to politisize a phone call from the President Trump to the wife of one of the fallen servicemen of Niger. The MSM shredded President Trump. His words were taken out of context. I'll make no comment on that here.

This afternoon General Kelly at the daily briefing made a statement. It's 18 minutes in length. It's a lesson. A great lesson. I've watched it three times. Each time I caught more of his message. You might not need that many viewings.

    Sassy,

I feel just more political crap coming from all directions.

I'll never in a private post or public post divulge my Presidential vote.

Mom has been up to her antics again. Hubby and I are doing our best not to let it bother us. She started with her usual "the holidays are at my house! You are ordered to be here unless you are sick" crap. Well last week when I went for my treatment, they scheduled my treatments for next month. I have an ironclad excuse not to be at my mom's for Thanksgiving as my 2nd treatment for November will be before Thanksgiving. I know Mom is going to hit the roof, but my health comes before her demands.

I whole heartedly agree, Mommy, you definitely come first. It's too bad if she chooses to be upset rather than understand. Good luck with your treatment!

MOmmy, my mother tried ripping me over a family matter once. Hung up on her mid-rip. Worked for me. Felt no guilt because I took the attitude she had no business interfering in my life. May not hurt to start doing each time she tries to control you and your family. Think of it as self preservation

    Loveroflife,

Why thank you! I'm doing wellish. Back to work. Still sore from the lumpectomy. Dealing with lots of different types of grief from people for varying reasons. It's amazing how much more stress people pile on you in these situations.

Anyway, spending time with the tot and fiance and getting ready for chemo. They say they got it all, but found that it became invasive by 8 mm. So whole tumor overall was over 3 cm. They removed it all, but because of my age, and the triple negative and how they found it to be high grade 3 on everything, except the stage is still 1 (confuses me a little) they feel that it's still important to do the chemo and radiation. It seemed to be changing each time they reviewed it. So a wig it will be at my wedding in May. I found a place to do some window shopping at this weekend. And port goes in on the 1st...blah! But overall, I guess it's good news? Quick question...when all of this first cancer is said and done, does the preventative measures of diet and exercise and less alcohol and etc...does that make a difference in recurrence?

But it's Friday and I get to go home to this cutie. :) How are you doing?

Well I called her today and told her tha my 2nd treatment for November will be during Thanksgiving week. After a brief silence she said that Thanskgiving won't be at her house after all. My brother's wife's family invited them to their house because Mom said that they weren't sure that we were going to be there for the holiday because of me being on treatment and they didn't know how I would be feeling afterwards. She knows that sometimes I can be perfectly fine or I could be feeling like I got run over by a bus.

She is a cutie!! I have been waiting for the photo :)

In regard to your "quick question".....I wish I know the answer, BUT it doesn't hurt to eat healthy and excercise (well, maybe your pocket). I do think stress, besides genetics, plays a role as it weakens the immune systems. There are so many things we are exposed to that disrupt the normal functions of our body. I hate that more and more are here. Ok going to take a nap now. BBL

    loveroflife,

Have a great nap. Yeah I wondered. Stress has been huge this year with my brother dying of cancer in June..could be what happened...just bottled it. So perhaps exercise is a good thing for stress and removing the people that stress me. :)

    Feelingfeline,

They are the best those hams...usually they have the most attitude, but they are still the best. :)

Alright, I gotta log out. :)

    Mrszhukova,

There is a forum called "alternative medicine" under the Jump to a Forum drop down box. I'm guessing that is the best place to go where the odds are possibly higher that someone there would have that information.

I haven't personally tried it so I couldn't tell you pros or cons. Good luck on your search. :)

Karen, sorry to hear about your brother. I am the same. I tend to bottle up my feelings too. I carry problems on my shoulders. No wonder my neck is always tight. Not good. One of my younger sisters told me that instead of "psych in", I need to "psych out". Ha! Slowly learning how to. Are you the older or oldest sibling?

Ms Sas, I don't like politics but I do like General Kelly. Showed the video to my DD. She took a look at the time stamp and protested "This is 20 minutes long". DH's response, " You still need to watch it." Afterwards, she told me General Kelly should be president. Hah!

    Loveroflife,

I was the youngest until the little one came along 25 years after me. lol! The older brother adored me when I was born, but almost right after he developed a brain tumor. The radiation of that cancer 40 years later caused his secondary cancer.

Yes, I definitely need to find a way to deal with stress, like meditation. I definitely need to google it or something. :)

Loverly, General Kelly gave such a moving speech. The story about how the fallen are cared for and how a family is notified by the Casualty Officer who stays with them for the duration is so important is such a terrible time. I'm glad that DH thought it important enough to encourage DD to view. DD is right General Kelly's presence and bearing is striking.

Mommy condolences re: mom. Kathindc's method of hanging up when being ripped is a self preservation tool that either the offender corrects the behavior or they don't get access to you. I had to use it often with a family member and it worked.

Karen, yogagirl is a researcher. She does evidence based research with extensive bibliographies. I suggest sifting through her research. On the linked page she has a section on diet for Triple neg. She has sections on stress.
