Hope you had a wonderful birthday Susan!
Hello everyone else
-
-
happy belated Susan. You should be with the kids about now.
Well, I'm probably doing something stupid tomorrow. Getting an old tattoo covered with a new one. Probably will take 2 trips. Older skin (67
takes a little longer to heal. This will be the new one.
-
Smarty- love the butterfly pattern. Butterflies are rebirth. Love the symbolism and have lots of them in my gardens spring, summer and fall. Good luck!
-
Well the snow we got yesterday was just a nuisance. Not looking forward to Tuesday when we are looking at getting jackslapped with a potential Nor'easter!!!!!!!! Mama Nature needs to get back on her mess and quit taking whatever is making her go wacky!!!!!!
-
Smaarty- love the tattoo! I'm ready for a second

Susan!
Happy, happy birthday dear Iron Lady. Wishing you a most wonderful day with all your loved ones. Although it is/was your "special day", it is all who have been blessed by knowing you who have truly received the greatest gift. I am continually humbled by your strength, grace, wisdom, kindness, goodness, spirit of fun......all the awesomeness that is YOU!
Let the Iron Lady Lovefest continue 💕 -
Kathindc, I'm going to let them know about my reaction to my last treatment and see what they have to say.
Chevy and Jazzy, my RO and I talked a little about internal radiation but he didn't feel I needed it. I should have asked more questions about it but I had so much going through my head at the time I skipped right over it. I've become a sponge since then soaking all the info up that I can :-)
My appendix ruptured 3 years ago but I didn't realize that it had. By the time I was in so much pain and made it to the ER it had been ruptured for 2 days. The first thing my surgeon said to me the next morning was " You shouldn't be here". My DH tells me all the time that if my appendix being ruptured for 2 days didn't kill me this BC doesn't stand a chance either! Although he does tell me that "caveman" Lori would be dead by now. He's not being mean as it makes me laugh.
Susan, I hope your visit with your kids was awesome!
Have a great Saturday evening everyone!
Here's to losing an hour of sleep 😴 but longer and warmer days ahead... I hope 🤞

Not looking forward to Tuesday with the snow that is forecast to hit us

Good morning ladies!
Thank you all for the nice comments about my DS. I got the paperwork back from the Dr, so he will begin track this Tuesday. In the meantime he has a basketball tournament today, about an hour away, and I'm picking up my mom first. So, with the hour of lost sleep, it will be a long day.
Lookie, thank you for the FG update. I hope you continue to heal well.
Mags, yes..very proud of my children, thank you. I hope you have a good day today!
Sunsan, great pics and happy belated birthday!
Loverly, I don't know if I missed it, or if you didn't post...how was the PC appt for your headaches?
Kath, Thank you for asking..DD is good, except...
In Jan I was told my my ex-H that he was seeing someone that he planned to introduce to the kids. I have concerns about how ex-H is handling things, like the fact that she stays nights when my kids are there. DD appears to have become very attached to this woman, which concerns me...if the relationship doesn't last, then it will be hard for DD. This woman may be at the tournament today..I didn't sleep well/enough, so I hope I can control my tongue!
Sending healing love and hugs to all!

Wild, a friend just sent me this. When I saw it I thought of you. Peace to you my sister from another mother!!!!
-
Mommy, thanks so much. Amen to that!
-
You are very welcome!!!!
-
WildT, how your get together go? We're you able to keep you mouth shut! 🤦♀️
Well, got the tattoo done. Hurt like a bitch almost the whole time. Never again! It was worth it though, looks so much better than what I had. I think it hurt more because he was going over the old tattoo.
Old
New. He modified it a bit. Glad he did, only good 1-1/2 hrs.
-
Wish I could get a tat, but they don't recommend it when you're on active chemo.
-
Smaarty, no...I didn't. At one point my mom, myself and DS were sitting in one spot while ex-H, his gf and my ex-MIL were in another spot with my DD. Ex-H came over to tell DS it was time to warm up with team, and I told him that DD should come sit with me, her mother, NOT his gf. DD did come sit with me a while, but then went back to them, because she kept asking me to. She doesn't understand (cognitively) that walking around, holding hands with this woman, and hanging out with her when I'm there is hurtful. I think Ex-H and gf should encourage DD to be with me when I'm around. Ex-H never introduced us, so I finally went over to her..we shook hands, and that was that.
-
Loverly, You made a comment that you have an indented spot near your armpit..behind the muscle, right? I have that too. My PS said it is because BMX was so aggressive and that he will put fat there.
Lookie, Congrats on negative biopsy!!
-
Wow!! Nice tattoo, you wild lady! Beautiful work. Is that on your....oh never mind. Nice bum too. Ha!
You look much younger though for a great-grandma
-
Oh WildT, so stressful for you. I can tell it is really difficult for you emotionally. I am glad you didn't do anything silly though. I tried to put myself in your shoes and can only imagine the awkwardness. The gf must be treating your DD well for her to feel attached. It could be worse, yeah? The lady could be a witch and mistreat DD.
Yes, the indented spot is about an inch laterally from the armpit. I try not to let it bothers me. Sometime it works sometime it doesn't. I just have to remind myself " life over limb" 😃
Oh, PCP ordered MRI. Waiting to get appointment for scan. Earlier I asked my DD2 to take a look at the spot on my scalp where the headache is...there are red patchy spots there🤔 Very weird. Anyway, it is probably tension headache and the MRI is to give me peace of mind.

Ugh, woke up to the news that we have gone from a Winter Storm Warning to a Blizzard Warning!
-
Smarty love your tattoo ;
-
All prepped and ready to face the Nor'easter coming

M0mmy ~you do seem to always come up with the best advice!
WildT ~ Been there and yes can totally suck.. Ex needs a refresher on manners. Introductions should have immediately been made and all y'all should have sat together. Sharing a child's special day is a Big Deal! All the kids care about is spending time with the adults they love so much..... they want you all to love each other like they love you! When FFH and I built our house all those years ago, his baby girl and my baby boy where shattered that we would not even consider inviting our exes and new spouses to come live with us. The heart of the innocent is so sweet and pure......what a beautiful world if we could keep that pureness forever.
Girlfriend probably felt very awkward. Yay you for making that first step. My ex married an older childless woman. Couldn't hate her no matter how how much I wanted to. Yes, much jealously at first - DS is My baby! This woman has been so kind and thoughtful over the years . She let DS redesign her guest room with his fave pokemon characters, brought him shopping for fashionable school clothing he never would would of worn for me even if I could have afforded them, sent gifts s for all of us each holiday.... AND called me on the phone and cried with me for hours when my 17 year old heart kitty passed away. She even donated an Angel Plaque in his name as a donation to forever commemorate my dear friend on the wall of the new hospital wing.
I haven't always trusted my ex's maturity or common sense .... (have I ever mentioned pretty but stupid is my weakness?) This "other woman" has truly been a Blessing. Hoping this new lady friend will add some joy and stability to the times your dear lovvies spend with your ex.
And yes, yes, yes! Never too many sweet stories about your Wild Little Tulips ~ so much joy, love and all over warm n' fuzzies 🌷🌷
Edited to clean up the mess I made this morning 🙃

Thanks Shep.
Watching all the closings and delays coming in for tomorrow for my corner of the world.
-
M0mmyof2, we have light snow here today, ice and rain for tomorrow. We're not getting anywhere near the storm that's coming your way! I love minons! Bundle up and stay safe!
Smarrty, love, love, love your new tattoo! I'm not brave enough to get one myself.
Lookie, congratulations on your negative biopsy! Yay!!
Wildtulip, yay on your DS starting track! I'm not sure how I would have handled the situation at your DS's game. How old is your DD? It was definitely more stress than you need!
Lover, good luck on your MRI! Praying for good news! I have a huge hole under my left arm from having nodes removed. I can fit my whole fist in it. I'm hoping my PS can do something with it when I have my exchange surgery. I love the grandma photo bomb. So funny!
Until next time
-
Lori, I am hunkered down and prepared for the stor
-
Lover, did you get your appointment for your MRI? Please keep us posted. Has DD1 started spring break? I remember how the students where I worked so looked forward to it.
So far the DC area is just seeing some extremely light moisture. Snow is suppose to come in later. School systems have already closed for tomorrow. Our weather forecasters are calling for 3-6 inches. Our weather forecast out of NHK Tokyo says we're in the heavy snow area. It will be interesting to see who is correct. I know the European weather models predict our weather more correctly. You would think we would get the hint.
Lori, did you have radiation today? Hope you aren't having the same side effect you had last week.
WildT, I commend you on making the first move on introductions. Very classy.
Susan, did you have a good visit with family. Current pictures of Elena?
Oops, I'm on low battery. Need to charge the iPad.
-
isn't that the truth! When hurricanes are around, the European models even beat out the local guys.
-
Kathindc, I did have radiation today and no burning SE today. I am so so itchy! My DH said I look like a monkey with all the arm raising and scratching I'm doing... especially under my left arm. He makes me laugh :-
-
Same here for the European weather forecasting being more accurate. We have a prof at UW who has a blog and a Friday radio program talking about the weather. He's able to say it's right on the edge and we won't know ahead.
