I had a funny picture after the baffled. I am baffled it disappeared. 🤔
-
Loverly- they have cameras
-
All hunkered down and ready for the snow
-
Hope you have enough food and entertainment, Mommy.
Forgot it's Wacky Wednesday.
WildT, this is what I would look like if you turn me into a cartoon character.

-
Umm, OK Lovely, let's stick with the real you! Thanks for the explanation. Basketball tournament was good..DSs team won one & lost one. DS made first basket of first game! He needs to have his wisdom teeth out and in a couple weeks has a check up with ENT as follow up to sleep study, so I'm going to ask that surgeries be combined if he needs tonsils out. I'm going to try to put off till summer, though.
-
Wildtulip- you asked if I always lock the glove compartment with the remote. I try to and do most of the time (every once and awhile when in rush I forget). The first time my car got broke in to in 2011, the officer told me to do that because many times, they are looking to steal your insurance car and remote to go break in to your home. Many people get double robbed by thieves who steal things from their cars and go home to find their home vandalized. They are going to go for anything visible and easy to grab so keep those things secured or on your person.
It is hard to think like a thief but I am learning.....
-
Jazzy, love the bike, too.
I'm a little t'd off because someone hit my car while I was parked in front of my friend's house at her super bowl party. I'll have to replace the whole bumper. I guess it could have been worse...I could've been IN the car when it happened. Naturally, the person did NOT leave a note like you're supposed to do. It happens all the time nowadays. People just don't care anymore.
-
Lita- I am so sorry to hear about your car getting hit. Superbowl sunday was not good for a few of us with our cars. I had a hit and run on my other car the summer before last and it was a hassle. Sorry sister. There are things to be grateful for in this, but it is frustrating none the less. Time and money........
Do be sure that you get a police report if you have not yet. It put my claim under uninsured motorist and really dropped my out of pocket on that claim.
-
DH wonders why I get my car washed every day.... silly man....

-
Got everything I need to weather this snow event. Hubby even got the news last night that his job is closed today! They usually don't let the employees know until the morning of the weather event.
Just heard this morning we have more snow coming Saturday.
-
This storm I am getting is brutal. Must have a good foot if not more so far and its not over yet
-
Major flooding and mudslides here. Creeks and reservoirs rising. I've lived in California my entire life...if it's not years of drought, it's floods. Just the way it is.
Praying for the folks who've been inconvenienced and displaced by all the bad weather all across the country.
-
Lita, it is raining cats and dogs here in the valley.
-
Mommy, our weather reported thundersnows in CT. Did your area have any
-
so sorry to just jump in, I am up all night terrified about a biopsy tomorrow.
Not so much about the results, but just the pair from stereotactic.
Anywho, I was up in the snow all day in CT
Peace love cookies
-
Cookie...we'll be there with you in spirit.
-
Kath, we did get some thundersnow here. According to one news station here we got 16 inches
-
Morning gals.........Hey Cookie! We all know that feeling! It's so awful to be thinking about biopsies and maybe surgery and all that kind of stuff, but just come back here... We've all be there and done that, and we're here to help!
Can ANYone give me suggestions on how to deal with this ASTHMA??? I'm going back for a "check-up" today, and the "pneumonia" is much better.... I FEEL better, just that when I lay down, even after a treatment, that "scraping" and squeaking just sometimes scare the day-lights out of you.
I'm going to look it up.... maybe put the humidifier in my bedroom? I stacked up all the pillows, and being propped up, helped... but I hope our little Doc has some suggestions!
-
cookie, best wishes today!!!
Chevy, no ideas here, but thinking of you and hope you get some answers today.
Love & hugs everyone!
-
Hey Y'all!
Peeking in to check on Peppy ~ Hoping all went well with yesterday's surgery

Chevy ~ That's not asthma - your are just winded from all them nekkid fellas at Mostlymom's carwash!
Feline - OMD. Told my computer illiterate Mom about the awesomeness of your Porn for Women book. She insisted I not only read it aloud to her on the phone, but also describe in detail each picture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loverly ~ HS was not at all what I thought it was......all these mens parading through here I thought HOLY SMOKE!
Jazzy ~ I wanna be just like you if I ever decide to grow up! You are the coolest! Sir Elton in Vegas......wow! I truly support the death penalty for thieves. So sorry about your car. Big happy dance on your excellent news from last MO appointment

WildT ~ Exciting idea about becoming a Nutrition Coach! So many different options - medical, corporate, fitness....... Wonder if there are tuition grants available for cancer patients? Basketball game must have been fun! How proud was DS?
Headaches getting better, just soooo exhausted. Haven't been sleeping and toooo much stuff to do. Ack.
Hoping all in bad weather places stay safe

Hoping all turns out well for you Cookiegal. Love your signature line

After hearing a year or so of complete horror stories about what would happen if ever I were to get near an MRI machine with the oops in my spine, today I am going for a brain MRI. A special meeting of the surgical/radiology board at my cancer center decided the benefits far outweighed the risks. This will hopefully save me from whole brain rads and allow for proper surgical and gamma knife treatment. Not using my centers equipment of course.....sending to an independent place. Ha! at least is near home. Must decide on Ativan or Valium or both - much fear and trepidation about scary stuffs that could happen while in the machine.
BBL if I don't explode............
-
Shep I have 4 level cervical fusion. LOTS of metal in there. Have had numerous MRI, haven't blown anything up yet😂
-
Shep: I'm with Spookiesmom--only difference being where my spine got fused (L5/S1). Not even a spark when I had my pre-treatment MRI for cancer. Seems to be two (potential) issues: is the metal "ferromagnetic" (does it respond to magnets)? and more globally, metal distorts the MRI snapshots. If the former, the magnetic fields the MRI sets up will yank on whatever's in your body.
-
chevyboy, asthma is often triggered by acid reflux. sounds crazy. Try not eating or drinking 2 hours before bed.
Biopsy was not as painful as I feared
Thanks for good words
-
Okay, thanks for the thoughts! Doc said the Asthma is worse than last week, but I sort of knew that. I have another z-pak, and Prednisone, and a refill for the Nebulizer treatments. I go again next Tuesday.
I know what you mean Cookie! You should know something within a few days, going on a year.... Takes forEVER for them to get back to you!
But I usually get asthma left over from something else, like a cold or Pneumonia....
She said I can also take that mucous relief stuff....
Sheps! YES! I AM out of breath, Hah! But not from lookin' at those guy folks.... Ha!
You doing better? You are going to have your brain checked out? Let us know if they find anything..... See, THAT'S supposed to be a joke.... Haaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
Okay.... Like almost 80 here today! I love this weather.... but the wind is really blowing.... going to stay in.
-
Shep - I have 2 metal hips, but they are MRI safe. One is Titanium and the other is a combo metal. My docs have explained I couldn't have MRI's of my hips because nothing would show up, but never any warning about anything super scary like you've described.
Chevy - Sorry you're still having trouble with your breathing. The cold air and dampness we're having tis winter has really triggered my asthma. Been using my inhaler and Sudogest almost daily.
Loverly - How is Mitzy doing?
Lita - Sorry to hear about your car damage. I hope your deductible isn't too outrageous.
Jazzy - Any chance of finding a different gym to go to?
Smaarty - Yowsers! Nice pic.
I went to Walmart & Costco last night. My eyes started feeling like I had sand in them and thought it was my allergies. Came home and put allergy drops in, plus lubricating drops, but nothing helped. I woke up this morning with both eyes swollen and red. Called eye doctor and I have "Pink Eye" for the first time in my life. Best I can figure is that I got it from one of the shopping carts at the stores. I normally make sure to wipe the handles with a disinfecting wipe, but forgot last night. Geeez!
Anyway, here is KIrby on his first trip to Costco.

-
Long day today.

-
Junie...since I was Dx'd, I wear gloves EVERYWHERE now. At first I was just doing it b/c of hand foot syndrome. Now that HFS isn't as bad, I still wear them b/c I think it helps with germs. I have several pairs, and you wouldn't believe how filthy they get after just a couple of days. Rite Aid drug store sells cotton ones in a variety of colors besides standard white, too.
Husband has a bad cold...hope I don't get it. I do have to take the gloves off to do certain things, ha ha, so I also have to resort to lots of hand washing and basically trying to keep fingers away from mouth, eyes, nose, etc.
Taking car to an insurance-approved body shop next week. Deductible is only 500 bucks. This is the second time someone has messed up the poor car's rear end since we got it. People just don't care anymore. What ticks me off is that our premium will probably go up. It always does after an accident, no matter what. I'm on disability now, so I can't afford an increase in anything .
-
Okay... good idea about the cotton gloves! I'll have to take a look. Yes.... grocery carts..... Okay, I even carry a few wet-wipes in my hand-bag.... Now I just have to use them!
Also Junie, Kirbs is the MAN! I'll bet everyone stopped to say Hi to him... Such a dolly! I use the Breo inhaler once a day, then the "red" on, in between the Nebulizer.
Thanks Loverly for the tips.... and reminding me to make sure I hear the "click" on the Breo... I FEEL better.... just that racket in my chest when I lay down... I've got my pillows piled on top of each other...and it helps..
The weather was HOT yesterday.... 80 for awhile... And some kind of front is coming in tonight... rain and snow tonight into tomorrow... It's no WONder we aren't all sick!
Lita...reminds me to check into our Insurance rates... coming due.... house and car. I'm the only one that drives now.... DH HAS an older car, and can drive it IF he needs to, and the insurance is paid, and IF it is running, and the battery isn't dead, he DOES have his license.... Hah!Just something I think he hates to 'give up"....
I know we are both "older"..... but I've never had an accident, nor anything more than a warning..... Like "STOP GOING 35 in a SCHOOL ZONE".... or TAKE THAT CRYSTAL PENDANT OFF OF YOUR REAR VIEW MIRROR"......
THAT time I got stopped because I saw this POLICE car, lights flashing, but stopped!!!! I drove by slowly, thinking "Why are 10,000 lights on... he has no-one pulled over?"
Okay... seems though we have a new LAW just went into effect, you must PULL OVER IF YOU SEE FLASHING LIGHTS... AND PULL OVER MEANS INTO THE FURTHEST LANE YOU CAN GET TO, WITHOUT RUNNING SOMEONE ELSE OFF THE ROAD! " Damnit! I was clueless......! So after scaring the B-geezus out of me, he not so politely found something ELSE wrong, like my crystal pendant... instead of writing me up for breaking the LAW that I had never heard of! So THAT ticket was only $30 instead of whatever ELSE I almost got a ticket for!!! So DON'T JUST DRIVE BY THEM.... MOVE THE HELL OVER GIRLS!!! i SHOULD have smacked him! I should have written HIM a ticket for elder abuse!!!
-
Woke up to a little more snow. Not as bad as the other day but it means more shoveling. Maybe it will be light enough that I can just push it out of the way.
-
Beautiful day here in Portland! Visiting my friend that is a BC survivor. She is participating in a storytelling event.
Junie-wish I had had more time and a way to come and meet you and Kirby. His Costco pic is adorable. Hope the pink eye clears up quickly.
Waving hello to everyone els
