Thrifted today and yesterday. OMD..Lot's of great things. Off onto the search now.
-
8 for 50$. I don't usually do china, but this was so sweet. Pics don't show as well as it is. Replacements .com has the plates at 20$ ea., but lot's on the net for in the range I paid. It's a very soft cream color, with very soft pink flowers. Lovely balance.
-
Thanks, Zill!!
Mag, must be tough to be a " kept woman" when you were once independent.
Jazzy, no, running a business is not for sissies. I would be desolate.
Ms. Sas, what exciting things did you thrift?
Patty, take it easy.
Ms. Chevy, I forgot to tell you that I only saw one picture (DD2's) out of four pics a few pages back (1032, I think
-
Loverly, are you sure it was me? I can't remember, and I looked at my "pictures' folder and couldn't think of which one it would be..... What were they doing.... I think I am losing my MIND.... Ha!
Okay Sass, I saw where Blondie posted, but Chrissy once told me I should not post on the Stage 4 only thread.... I could post on Peppermint's thread, because someone else started it.... Would you please tell her we are thinking about her....? and tell her hello from us?
-
Jumping on. Chevster it was DD's picture at King Soopers. Y'all were talking plants.
Spent most of yesterday in town. Shopping for party Sat. night and finally found something for DD. Bought some cute owl glasses at Pier One. DH also sent her a link for for gamer's headphones. She is an online gamer, participates world wide. That is what her weekend is spent doing, and most every evening too at least after holiday season ends for her employer. Today was pedicure day and not sure where the rest of the day has gone. Tomorrow is major cleaning - no the party is not at our house but DD coming for the night.
Patty - so glad you are feeling better.
Tomboy has posted on Blondie's thread. PM her for Blondie's address. Says that she (Tomboy), Slow Deep Breaths and HoleinOne have the address.

Rosie - so glad you are back home too. Enjoy that family time.
-
Chevy, This is different--trust me.
-
Anyone getting the address Pm me with it so I can check and see if the address I have for Blondie is current Thanks
-
If anyone is lacking something to watch "So Dear to My Heart" on TCM looks like a keeper
-
GS came home today. Probably did a little too much on Tuesday and was running a slight fever yesterday and throwing up. Much better today and the doc checked and redressed his stump. Now he just needs to take it easy. He'll have a home nurse come visit.
I ordered my Christmas present today. Getting the same kind of flooring in my sewing room. Yeah! Now I have to cLean up all my sewing stuff and clear out everything. I'll do a little bit next week but hit it hard after Christmas.
I think it's ok to talk to Blondie even through it on the stage 4 thread. Everybody should understand.

-
Loveroflife- went okay today!
Going for bone density test in the morning. Going to find out if those Prolia shots are working for the bone health issues.
-
Good evening all,
I have Blondie address.... I also sent it to Sas, so we both can PM it to whomever would like to send a card via snail mail....
Cold, windy, snowy still......
-
Thanks HI1, appreciate it.
Loverly, I was scrolling and definitely found the angel. Westmoreland Thousand Eye. They actually have two in stock. You could get a match. The pattern was discontinued in 1956. so, she's minimum almost 60 years old. cool. What did I think it was before?
http://www.replacements.com/webquote/WESTHEY.htm
Typical scrolling. Looking for one thing probably looked at a thousand with lots of diversions. Found Westmoreland English Hobnail. looking for that pattern for a year.
-
Umm, is that a test? Indiana Mayflower something. Cool
-
Look what I found:
-
BTW, love the dish you thrifted....beautiful and delicate. I am surprised Mag has not said anything yet since she loves rose pattern. Ok, going to shower now. Cicadas are busy and very noisy today. I am glad I am not completely deaf yet.
-
I changing you name to the....used to be insomniacs
It's 4:30 and I am still,up.
The question is...I need to,be up by 7 today. Do I try to sleep, or do an all nighter
-
Awhh Susan...do you have an appointment at 7? I am up too. heartburn.. It's 3:45. We have been having buckets of rain and all the electricity went off. Clocks are all blinking. Hope you get a cat nap before the day begins. I got the doxil yesterday. We will see if it does anything. Have a good day.
-
Oh THANK you Lilgoats! I remember now.......She just sent me this....
I remember my Husbands Aunts would all gather in front of the window, behind the sheers, and watch the whole neighborhood! Hah! Cheaper than TV I guess....
And thanks for Blondie's link!
Spookie! Those Flip-flops! Yikes! Well it's warming up quite nicely here.... already 17! Can't believe the piles of snow hanging around, because it just can't melt....
Jazzy.... I remember Holidays from when I was a little girl.... And then growing up, and having to spend it with Families, who I guess you could say were keeping the Alcohol business alive and well....
Now, it is just so peaceful, to not have to worry about going out Christmas Eve, and being around all that. Now we have Janie over Christmas morning, for Eggs Benedict, and then we open our presents.... !!
I DO have Champagne though.... that's pretty safe....
Jazzy, I just had a Dexa-scan.... My PC thought I shouldn't have broken my hip like it did, just from falling.... So I had the scan, and my bones are GOOD! Hah!
I mean what does she THINK would happen when you fall 2 stories off a pole in the middle of the alley?
HiHo.... Like your new Avatar! Ha!
How fun, about you guys and your glass finds! I kept my Mom's favorite pieces... I should take a picture sometime, so you could tell me what they are.... It's like amber-glass, and clear... footed candy dishes, etc.....
Ah geez Susan.... did you get to sleep any?
-
This is sooooooo true!
I never had a CLUE as to what the women in his family were talking about....
-
-
That's what they thought about my wrist last year. I'm trying to break the fall so super tank me didn't squish gs#1. I get a broken wrist and a bunch of flak. Dictors!! Grrr
