Nearly 3 Years......!!
Hello Ladies,
It is a long time since I have been on this forum but I remember when I was first diagnosed in June 2008, I came onto this website and I was absolutely terrified!
After two operations, 6 months of chemo and 3 months of radiation, I am delighted to say that I am nearly 3 years in the clear! I had my two year scans last year and everything came back perfect! I just wanted to say a big thank you to all the ladies who gave me comfort when I first joined here but to all the other ladies going through treatment now, there is hope in the future. As you will see from my diagnosis, I was very advanced but with a lot of luck and positivity on my side, things can get back to normal and you will one day feel even better than before you were diagnosed. I always promised I would come back one day to write a small message of hope in the future and here I am! To all the ladies who are going through treatment, keep your strength, smile through the dark days and know that we are thinking of you when times get really tough.
Take care,
AllyDub

Hello Ally, Great to hear your news. I celebrated 4 years since diagnosis this February. Also very scary diagnosis, more than 20 nodes, 2 young children etc etc,. Like you I was on this board everyday, scared for my life. I had my treatment in the Netherlands where I live, but am originally from Ireland. I am now enjoying life again and the fear has retreated somewhat to the background. It's always heartening to read the positive stories of others. I wish you many, many more healthy and happy years ahead, as indeed I do everybody with this dreaded disease - celebrate and enjoy

Congratulations, Ally! I'm glad you're living your life in the "back to normal" mode.

I"m still struggling with the idea that I'll be able to hit the all clear at three years. Thank you for posting - I needed the reminder that it is very likely I'll be follow in your steps.
