    Thanks for posting this.  I will ask my onc about this as he did say sepsis can "get you" when you're not doing well at Stage IV.  And it moves fast.

    A girlfriend with metastatic colon cancer was doing pretty well until she had a tooth abscess, went septic and died within 3 days.  Still pisses me off that this happened -- she never took enough care of her teeth.  But once an infection gets a grip it's hard to combat it with a crapped out immune system.
