Hi All,

I was diagnosed March 18, 2010 with DCIS in Situ Stage 1 estrogen positive.  I've made my one year cancer free I think......I currently have my tissue expanders in until July this year then I start reconstruction.  I recently found a pea size lump on my left breast where my 1st cancer was located......This time the lump I found located on top of my left breast not far from my orginial lump.  I've had a biopsy, needless to say the pathologist did not read both slides.  SO the 1st time the called me the nurse told me everything was fine.  The next day I get a call from the nurse stating there were tissue fragments found called papillary tissue.  But here is the kicker the pathologist will not state a diagnoses on the report.  I am so angry, scared etc.  Im 35 years old, I just lost my mother after 2 years to Pancreatic Cancer, now I'm dealing with no one giving me straight answers about my current condition.

Does anyone know or have advice about Papillary Tissue?

My onco test came back stating I have a 6% of recurrance.  I mean come on I was 34 when diagnosed the 1st cancer, now I'm 35, have a 3 year old & lets top it all off my family barried my mom March 23, 2011.

Thanks in advance.

I had a peas sized lump in my reconstructed breast near where the cancer was. It turned out to be a fat cyst. Hope that is what it is for you. Keep bugging them until you get an answer. Good luck.

Some doctors have no notion of empathy.  I don't understand how they could ignore the fact that their patients are waiting in agony for results while they churn out vague reports.  At around my one year anniversary I had a pea size lump in me scar tissue.  After weeks of waiting... they finally removed it and it was just fat necrosis.

Remain positive.  I'm guessing that if it were cancer the report would NOT be vague.  It would state - cancer.  That's my feeling anyway...  You're doing the right thing by checking it out tho...

    Hang in there

    Brandy
