Blisters on scalp

Options

Hi ladies.  I have had 2 of my 6 TAC treatments, the second one was a little over a week and a half ago.  The last of my hair came out about a week ago.  Within the last couple of days, I've developed tiny little red blisters all over my scalp.  Has anyone had this happen to them, and if so what did you do about it?  They are somewhat painful, but not unbearable.

The only thing I have been washing my scalp with is the unscented Dove soap for sensitive skin that I use on my face.  If I can't find the answer here, I plan to call my oncologist's NP next week, but I figured if anyone had the answer, the ladies on this board would.

yep, it happened to me (during AC) - mine were so painful it hurt me to lie down on my pillow. It is called folliculitis, and is a known SE. you can google "folliculitis chemo" and get more info to be sure that this is what you have.

I went to my dermatologist and she gave me cream to put on, and a special shampoo for my scalp. I think that she also gave me antibiotics because some of the lesions were getting infected. this all helped, but they didn't go away until a couple of months after i finished chemo. and even now, 5 months PFC, I still have a few left but they don't bother me. Hope you get something to help you with this soon :-)

P.S.  Just googled it and yes, that's what it looks like.  Guess I'll be calling the doc Monday morning.
