How long does it take to get results from mammogram. I had first mammogram Friday after having breast cancer.

The radiologist read mine right after I had my 6 month one done. The tech walked it down to her and she came in and hugged me.

Mine are read immediately, too. They are done at an NIH cancer center.

Thanks Ladies, Just got the results in th mail.a few minutes ago. Results were normal thank God!!!

I go back to the Breast Center, where all they do is breast cancer surgeries, tests, MRIs, etc.  A group of 5 female breast surgeons, 3 female radiologists, and get my results immediately.  I wish you the best with your results and I hope you get them as quickly as possible.  The waiting we have to do for anything related to our BC is just horrid.

My breast center gives immediate results, too.  Anything that shortens the "worry time" is good.
