Getting herceptin treatments out of state

Before I was rather hastily diagnosed with cancer, I was on my way to London. Has anyone had any experience with getting any or all of their herceptin treatment outside the US? My primary concern is getting the drug itself here (so that insurance will cover it) and just having it administered over in London. Does anyone have any information about this or know where to look?

    Hi,

    I had the same question as you, but I am going to Sweden. My Onc told me that they could absolutely not have me transfer Herceptin on a flight to Sweden, the insurance company wouldn't pay for it.

    Even if they did, I don't think my oncologist wouldn't allow me to. I contacted a professor in Sweden and I could get an infusion there, but the cost was very high. Herceptin is a very expensive medication, between $6.000 - $10.000 for a 3 weeks dose.
