Afternoon all.
My news is that I have booked for Australia, going to South Australia where Chrissy is. Talked to her this afternoon even know when we are going to visit her, yeh!!! We go to Melbourne on the 13th Oct then Adelaide on the 16th. Now just have to sort out what we are doing, I am so excited. I am so pleased we have something definite sorted at last.
Leah will be saying a prayer that all goes well with you.
Elisimo wondered where you got too as well.
Has turned cold tonight, looks like a frost but that means we will have a lovely day tomorrow.
Big hugs to all.

hi all.. checkin to letcha know, im stil here.. Isaac was kinda a no show, but it was a "wind and water event " as the weathermen say.. we didn't get flooded, nor lose electric, but some in my town just got their electric back today, so im real grateful.. we lost internet for 12 hours, but i have plenty on the dvr, and we had electric!!
we once again, moved the whole gazebo garden, but have an idea on how to board it over next time, so we will only take the important flowers in. marybe told me to pretend i was in Butterfly World, when i went in my kitchen. we had 3 poles full in our kitchen, with three shelf units in the hallway full!! enough, already.
hope everyone else is doing well. gotta catch up on other threads.3jays

Hope all are feeling well
Love n hugs. Chrissy -
Chrissy - so glad Aly is coming to see you. I can hardly wait to get our plans done for our trip to Japan with the side trip for me to come see you. Still not sure of the dates yet, but I will let you know as soon as I know. Love you girl. Sorry I missed your FT the other day. It was one of my uncontrolled sleep all days, slept for 2 days straight. MO is sending me to PCP to get my thyroid checked and review all my meds. That will be Sept. 18, so I'll keep you posted.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHABBA!!!!!!!!!
Leah

Happy Birthday, have a great day.
Thought I would get some photos organised today.
DD says DGS is like me poor wee boy.

Hello all.
I had a phone conversation with my 25 y/o DD yesterday. She is getting ready to move from her apartment. She said that she and her roommate had only vacuumed maybe once all year, b/c the bag was full in the "40 year old" hoover. At that point I am thinking what did I do wrong? I told her hoover was a very common brand and that they sell bags even at a grocery store. She said she didn't know how to get the bag out. LOL
She called again later to tell me her boyfriend showed her how to remove the full bag and yes she found some new bags at the store. I told her how proud I was of her. We had a good laugh.
So good to hear from all of you.
where's Isabella?
That is great that plans are being made to travel and see each other.
I've been put on yet another med for the nebulizer (that makes 3). My pulmonary doc finally got back from vacation. He called tonight and told me to stay on all meds until I see him on Tuesday. He won't even let me decrease the prednisone yet. sigh. Well, Tuesday is soon enough.
Leah, thinking of you!
(ETA) great picture Alyson!!! There is quite the resemblance.
Happy Bday chabba!!!!!
Nancy

hi gals: i just spoke to Marybe on the phone, and she's in a crisis, in Christ Hospital, in Cinn.. she finally agreed to call the paramedics, either aware of how seriously ill she is, talking about going to work, and what to do about her trip.. i toyesterday, or the day before.. she wasn't too clear on the whens..
she has gone into the beginning of reanl failure. her levels are all wonky: one is indicative of dehydration, and one shows too much. the fluid on the heart is high, and the kidneys are dehydrated.. they got her on a foley, and are pushing iv fluids, but slowly, to not stress the whole system.. she does have an excellent cardio there, and a nephrologist whos said to be the best..
she's not at all
-
okay: im going to try this again.. itll be short.. the detais are on the red devil thread..
Marybe was taken by ambulance to Christ Hospital in cincy, either a day, or two, ago. she has begun to go into renal failure..
she has an excellent team FINALLY!!!and the nephrologist seems to think the course they're on will get the kidneys going again..
they have her on iv fluid, but slow, so not to stress the heart.. and have her walking a bit, to get the heart working.. her foley shows a little output, and thats' suppossed to be good. they're just not sure.. the tests are conflicting: the heart has too much hydration, the kidneys not enough.. a touchy situation. she's not in the least aware of how serious the situation is, i had to tell her to quit worrying about work (this week if you can believe it )and quit screwing around, this is life and death! I hoped she heard me..
she said she's not alone, about 8 people were there last night, the 3 kathys, some of their hubs, and of course, Tim.. and she called daddy today.
please pray for our dearest, that she finds the strength to fight , still.. she 's quite tired, more than i could almost handle..
i offered to go there, but she said no.. she has plenty of company.. so, i'll be speaking toher, or tim, tonight, or tommorrow, for sure...
anyone who wants, feel free to pm me.. ....3jays
-

Everyone is holding hands around the world for our Marybe. Love and prayers for her.
-
i didn't get to talk to her today, a friend of hers, (who isn't real helpful) is answering the phne.. i have a call in to Tim, but he doesn't alwys hear the phone.. saying my prayers.. the friend said she's really weak today, but a little more production from the kidnys.. im praying her body is "healing" itself, so she's pooped out. will try to call her later today.. love to you all. thanx for all your prayers.. 3jays
-
3jays thanks for keeping us updated. Like Aly said Marybe has so many of us praying for her. I hope she can feel all the love.
-
i wrote a long update on the red devil thread.. hers.. but, she's hanging in there.. not breathing too well, walking is really getting her, her bp s incredibly low.. prayers are going up all over... 3jays

Thank you 3Jays, prayers from all over for Marybe. Ginger

Hi girls, thanks for your PMs.
Sorry I have not been around...my back is crazy, and the only way I can get relief is to stay in bed...just cannot bear to walk much further than to go to the loo!
I got a letter from hospital a couple of days ago, I have an appointment to go see the Professor of neurosurgery...on....OCTOBER 2nd ! I contacted my GP about my back getting worse, she didn't come out to see me, nor did she suggest I go see her, but she said she would contact the hospital and try and sort it out for me, which looks as if she has done. I rang her again later to make a face to face appointment with her...I can't do with these 'telephone appointments'... and have to wait 3 weeks before I can get in. By that time I shall probably be crawling across the carpark, to the surgery ! I might as well live in the backwoods of China for all our medical care does for us.
Have to go now, and lay down ! Am pretty sick of rolling about in bed, not missing much weatherwise, but a bit of fresh air now and then would be good ! I have had my bed moved very near a big window, overlooking the garden and fields, so at least I can see whats going on outside.
Isabella.

just a quick fly by.. im tired, haven't been to bed YET!
i spoke with marybe today, she picked the phone up herself. her creatinine level has come down quite a bit.. the cardio thinks she wasn't in CHF at all, that they assummed too much, and weren't concerned enough about her kidneys.. they're beg to kick in, she has much better output, though she's not out of the woods yet..
they're measuring for compression stockings, today. the cardio seems to feel they're not a risk to her heart, and they'll get everything moving faster..
i learned to call her early, before her "walks" which really poop her out..
thanx so much for all your prayers , and thoughts.. I'm dangling the carrot of her trip in front of her, so she's not giving up on that so quickly.. i'll keep you posted.3jays

Isabella, so good to hear from you. I am so sorry you are in such pain. I am glad you can see your fields from the window.
When my back pain became intractable I was put in the hospital and on morphine and then demerol (I think). The issue that called for emergency surgery was when the docs would press down on my left foot I could not push back. That means the nerves are dying. If you had that symptom I can't see how they could ignore it any longer. I know how much you are hurting and wish I had a way to help you.
3Jays again thank you for your updates. Take care of yourself too!
Hugs Ginger
