I found a new paper on DCIS called Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy and Management of the Axilla in Ductal Carcinoma In Situ by Hillary M. Shapiro-Wright in the Oxford University Press.  I cannot pull up the article as it is not complete, just an abstract.  Can someone help me out?

Thanks again

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for but I found some full text articles.

I assume you are awake and unable to sleep as I am.

    Hope this helps you out.

The public access policy for some journals seems to have changed recently.  I posted a topic in January on this issue of JNCI with the papers from the NIH Consensus Conference on DCIS. At the time I checked and it was possible to access the complete text of all papers in the issue without a password.  Now the ones I checked require registration and a subscription or payment to get the full paper.  I have not been able to find an explanation of the change.

It wouldn't let me save it as a pdf file but I printed it. So when I get a chance today I will scan it for you. PM me your email address so I can send it to you.

First off, in the future, contact your local library!  Sometimes they have a hard copy of the major journals in their library.  They also may have permission to download articles.  They can also get you medical journals and medical textbooks from other libraries, including university libraries.  It's amazing how the various libraries act as consortiums and can access information for patrons.

Also want to mention, important studies are sometimes published in advance as an abstract and the full paper is published awhile later.

Whenever I'm looking for medical research I start with the pubmed website.

Hope this information helps you and other voracious medical detectives.....
