How can I get my MOJO back?

Ok ladies, enough is enough. I need to get my mojo back. I had a lightbulb moment today and it's time to get a move on. I'm just not sure where to start or what to do.

I've been spending so much time trying to figure out my husband and his needs that I forgot about me. I need motivation. I need incentive and I need encouragement and the occasional kick in the behind.

After 10 years of marriage my husband thinks we are done. He was ready to leave last week but decided that he would go to a councelling appointment with me on Thursday. I have been a crying wreck for that last week and I've decided that enough is enough. I can't make him stay if he wants to leave and I know deep inside that someday I will be ok if he goes.

I need to take care of me. I need to get myself excited about my life again instead of putting it on hold. I'd like to lose 50-80 lbs. I'd like to travel but mostly I don't want to feel like this anymore.

Has anyone been through anything similar. How did you get motivated, excited, or lose some weight. When you feel overwhelmed with what seems like impossible tasks, where do you start?

Sherry: I am not sure I can help much, but I didn't want to see you left hanging! I hope the counselling this week can provide some insight. Perhaps too, talk it over with your GP - he/she may have some suggestions regarding weight loss, exercise and overall mental health. I'm sorry you're feeling overwhelmed.

How great that you are almost four years out!! Still, this disease is as hard on us emotionally as physically - and coping mechanisms are important over the long term. I got involved with a fitness group as part of a BC clinical trial, and it was a godsend for me. Are you working outside home, how is that going? Are there community groups you can tap into? Educational opportunities?

I wish you all the best.
