I have moved into the longterm survivor category, I think.

One of the "side effects," I attribute to cancer treatment are the striations that I have developed on my fingertips...which I have seen before...in persons of ADVANCED age.

Today, at the grand old age of 46, I went and renewed my military ID card...and I had to get a special over-ride.

My current fingerprints DO NOT MATCH those on file.  We tried every finger of every hand.

Wow, that's so weird!  I had never heard about that one before, but I do know chemo aged me, at least in the face.  I NEVER had dry skin before and I do now.  And I developed wrinkles around my mouth that were NOT there before.  BTW I am 48 so I beat you Tammy!

Hmmm.......Never thought about that.  I wonder if it's from the neuropathy, dry skin or peeling skin problems we have during chemo.

I finished my chemo 9/2010, lost my fingerprints during chemo and they haven't come back yet.

Thanks for sharing this. Whenever I talk about side effects, friends say - "oh, that's not the chemo, you've been done with chemo for 6 months, your just getting old." aaah sure.
