Gma glad they are taking it out. Don't feel frustrated about the lump not showing on your mammo. I have yet to have a lump show on my mammo's. I had very dense breast and mammo's were pretty unreadable. My cancer lump and my B9 lump were both done using US guided wire insertion to mark the lump. When they found the B9 lump they did not know it was B9 but the radiologist, BS and MO all said it needed to come out no matter if cancer or not so I was like you and they removed it. It was B9 but had high risk cells so I then choose to go forward with a BMX. Decided I did not want to continue down the route of having lumps removed every year. I'll be in your pocket and praying for B9
-
All aboard....im on the broom!!!!!!I WILL BE THERE WITH YOU!!!!!

hi
well i was away for a week instead of a weekend.hard to leave the family when there is a crisis.my GD fell down the basement steps doin MY laundry...thank God nothing was broken soo i had to stay to help her with my GreatGSs.2 spoiled brats.both the 2 1/2 yr old and the 9 mo.old.
I have a loaded question. When i first started this thread there were drs.that recom.utterly cream for during rads cause there were no parabins.i have been using it for years. There was parabins before but when i did tx.i saw that there were none.have the bottle to prove it.now i go to get it and the parabins are back....so i called the co.and they told me they never removed the parabins.Well I have jars of it where there were no parabins in it...my GD saw with her own eyes. She told me to get a lawyer.ha ha ha.I would love to sue the ass out of them but dont think i have a leg to stand on...
i need feedback!!!!!I know lots of sistas were fooled.
-
Gma....how are you doing? I hope you are healing nicely and with very little pain...
Granny...Hope your GD is okay after the fall...I'm sorry to hear that too...I didn't know that about utterlly cream...dammit!
So glad to be back home and kinda back to "normal"...it's nice to be someplace fun and away from reality, but it SUCKS to come back to the same stuff when it's all over!
Always praying for you all...lifting you all up in prayer for good things to come!
Love,
Tori

ToriGirl - I'm doing ok the scar has a few issues and some stabbing pains here and there, but overall I'm surviving - LE issues and can't do anything until I heal a little more - Surgeon told me to wait 2 more weeks.. I was back working my 4am computer job the next monday after surgery, but taking off my fabric store job until Sept 1 - gotta get back to work... *HUGS*
-
I finished radiation in January with very few side effects. I had a mammogram about 6 weeks ago, and my radiated side is still sore from it. I had multiple views on my "good" side, and it doesn't hurt at all. Have any of you experienced this with your first mam after radiation?
-
Laura, YES it hurts and it will for awhile... it is normal - some women have no issues but it depends on how much scar tissue you have and where the scar is located... I am still hurting from it and I had one in April.. but I also have lymphedema of the breast, so I know that has lots to do with it too... Hopefully it will feel better soon!
-
GmaFoley, Thanks. Sure hope it feels better before I have to get the next one!
-
Hi Laura, after my six month mammo on the radiated side, I ended up missing work 3 days later from the pain. I'm a year out and still have pains although they aren't as bad as they used to be.
Hi everyone hope you all doing well. Hope to be checking in more regularly!
-
My first mamo post diagnosis was almost a year after surgery. The tech was very gentle and didn't hurt me at all. The next one was not, it HURT! I told her that it apparently wasn't the prior time and besides it was to be followed by an ultra sound so why this time. The best she could say was "That's the way we do it."
-
Not all techs are created equal!!!!!
My niece and her friend both do my mammos.let me tell you i only had a few in my life and my breasts hurt for days.
Since i moved to Nj and have those 2 techs there is no pain.
