After breaking down and crying like a baby over getting my IV put in, took them 3 tries by the way, I got my CAT scan and bone scan.  Going back to the oncologist on Thursday.  Meanwhile my incision has opened up and near the armpit I have a gaping wound.  You can catch a glimpse of that beauty under Surgery before and after under the post, my incision has opened up.  Having a really tough time emotionally right now.

Sometimes it just piles up.  Our body is so worn down by this. I keep reminding myself that this will get better.  I try very hard to believe that.  I get poked lots, too; they can never get the vein.  I really appreciate the few talented/experienced ones who can get it on less that 4 tries.  I will go read about the incision opening up, but I'll say here how sorry I am to read you are experiencing this.  I've never experienced that, yet I know it has to be difficult.  I'm hoping the CAT and bone scan bring you absolutely no bad news at all.  Will you find out the results soon?  I hope you don't have to wait too long.  Warm hugs, G.

Getting IV's is no picnic. You are emotionally wrought and to have someone poking you with needles just makes it ten time worse. Have you called the surgeon to tell them your wound opened up? It could be dangerous because bacteria can get in there. It will get better. You are going thru the roughest time right now. There is light at the end of this tunnel. Hang in there.

Sending you big hugs, sounds like you need them right now.   When it rains it pours and we can't take but so much before we crack.  I've been there myself many times and it's ok to cry like a baby...just don't start using a diaper and you'll be fine

geo, My incision open up after surgery SNB I had to take antibodies and had to have it packed everyday with a medicated dressing.  Good Luck

geo-  We all have our breakdowns.  I still break down over the smallest things because let's face it we are forever hormonal   I'd like to hear from the person who went through this and didn't absolutely lose it occasionally.  They would be the emotionally unstable ones.
