This is my first post.  I was first diagnosed with DCIS in November 2010.  In February 2011, I was told that my lumpectomy revealed extensive DCIS requiring a mastectomy.  I am waiting for an April 2011 date for the mastectomy with DIEP Flap reconstruction.

Over the past 3 months, I have spent countless hours in the various forums searching for answers and reading all of your posts.  I have felt a bit like an intruder -  just reading and not participating - so I joined today to say Thank You to all of you who do participate and allow people like me, who may not be comfortable or ready to share our own circumstances, to get answers we need and feel that we are not alone.

These boards have been a blessing, a teacher, a therapist, a friend maker, a shoulder/ear/backbone, an advisor, a networker, and most recently - a comedian  (shout out to my asparagus buddies) ... in every part of every need that I have had on this journey ...

I am so happy you were able to find what you need.  Don't forget to PM those who touch you the most ... or have similar diagnosis ... or just make your heart sing ...
