21st Rads today. 21/33, Thank God. Today was a very quick in and out, loobed up as usual, no skin problems on completion, I will list the things I did during treatment for everyone to read.
Won $2.00 on my scratch off today, I made my husband purchase the ticket he is more lucky with those sort of things then I am.
Scripture reading for today is Phillipians 1 - 4.
VR - I understand what you are saying, recuperating from any surgery is no picnic, especially when you know what it is like already. I am really praying for you. When you say your praise do not pray for healing but tell God you accept the healing on both your shoulders.
Delegating is what you must do, so you can have the time to rest up after your PT. My prayers are ongoing for you. You will be healed.
God Bless.

22nd Rads today. 22/33, I am 2/3rd there only 11 more to go. today was a little wait, but not too long. Something happened to me that I never felt before, I was cold and asked the RT to cover me up, he covered the affected breast, and believe you me, for the very first time I felt the stinging, therefore in the future, I will ask him not to coveer the breast being radiated. I loobed up as usual, the skin is holding up just fine.
No wins from scratch off today, but continue to have some fun.
Scripture reading for today is Colossians 1 - 4.
Tomorrow I will go for a bus ride to PA to shop and see the play Joseph and Sunday I will go to church.
God Bless
-
Enjoy the weekend!! Time is truly flying by for you. I think your skin should be just fine. Soon you will be in the home stretch!
-
23rd day of rads. 23/33 the wait was a bit longer today the doctors was in a meeting so I still did not have my RO's visit for last week.
After my shower today I noticed the top of my affected breast looked a bit dark around the hair roots looking burned. My breast felt a bit acky today. So I quickly loobed up with calunda cream and silverdene ointment, next will be the aquaphor in 4 hrs, then miaderm again in 4 hours.
I am watching the skin carefully, because I want to finish on time so I can have a 2 week vacation before returning to work. I met a young lady on the trip who have BC early stage, she completed all her treatment 1 1/2 years ago. She told me she got virtigo from the radiation, the ears are O.K. now.
No scratch off today they did not have my favorite card.
My weekend was wonderful a really full day left home at 7:00AM returned at 10:30pm. We went to lancaster PA, we shopped had a buffet lunch and then saw the play Joseph. I was a bit tired but attendedd church on Sunday.
VR - I am sure you read about my little scare today with the skin, but I jumped right on it. I am still praying for both shoulders, when you read this just repeat Dear god I receive the healing and touch the shoulders.
Scripture reading for today is 1st Timothy 1 - 6.
God Bless.

Antigua... Thank you for your prayers. I keep you in my thoughts. Like I said, my mother is a retired ob/gyn nurse an I immediately connected with you. I touched my shoulders and prayed. I think every bit of prayer and hope help.
You seem very thorough in lubricating. I don't think I was as thorough as you. Towards the end of treatment, my skin grew angry red and itchy. But the skin layers never brook. After several months the skin color returned to normal. It just looked like a sunburn.
Regarding the woman who got vertigo... I never heard of that as a side effect. Could that have been a coincidence?
Last week I bought some new bras because the old bras hurt my shoulders. I feel a little better with the new ones.
Be well friend. -
25th Day of Rads - 25/33. I was in and out today for Rads, then I went and had my labs done, then home.
I finally mailed out our taxes today, I am nearing the end of the road.
I played no scratch off today.
Scripture lesson for today is Titus 1--3. Philemon
VR - Say hello to your Mom for me, Yes she told me so, I forget what meds she said they gave her, but it all rectified now, she was very lucky. I do not think so, she have a sister who is a Dr. and another sister her Nurse and she said they were with her all the way and someone was with her for any complications to ask questions. I read on a new board that Grannydukes started, that a lady said she got deaf from Tamax, 100% in one ear and 50% in the other, and she wrote to the FDA, for them to investigate and name deafness as a SE. Go figure.
I am very happy to hear about the new comfortable bra. I have not worn one since we burned them, so the camisoles I wear came in very handy.
I am very scared of my skin burning, so I had to brink out the big guns. Last night I had a lot of pain with the breast and arm, my husband massaged both for me, god bless him.
I am still praying for all of us.
God Bless.

Antigua... I hope your breast and arm pain quiet down. Surprisingly, I had no problem wearing my sports bras during treatment. I recall a lot of women being more comfortable in their camisoles. Hopefully in a few weeks you will be comfortable enough to wear a bra. You are almost finished with active treatment. I keep you in my thoughts daily. The irony about bras is that I stopped wearing bras when the shoulder pain became acute. These new bras are really taking away some discomfort. Not all... But enough to get me through the day. As you wind up treatment, I will be first having my surgery and then I will be working hard to regain arm motion.
Regarding side effects.. The FDA really needs to step up to the plate and doctors need to be pro active in reporting side effects. I sometimes wonder how much investigating is done. Even so, I think it is sometimes hard to prove various connections.
Tomorrow is Friday, so after treatment , you have the weekend to recover. Hang in there! -
26th day of Rads. 26/33, Today was an o.k. day, I talked them down from marking me for the boost today, because I have 2 more days left before I finish my regular Rads, so they said tomorrow.
I told the RO about the burning, and about me putting the silverdene cream on it, and he told me not to, because the skin is not broken and to continue to use what I am using. So I will take some motrin for the pain.
No scratch off for today, money is getting low, until I return to work.
Scripture reading for today is Hebrews 1 - 6.
VR - The Breastcancer.org needs to also step in. I do believe so, when most women are taking chemo, rads and taxam either together or right after each other, and all meds have delayed reaction.
I am really working on the massaging because they have really acted up lately, thanks for the concern, have a wonderful evening.
-
27th day of Rads. 27/33. Today I waited a bit, after treatment, I was marked for my boost and then taken back to the radiation room for them to do my template.
I have 1 more regular treatment left on Monday, then I will start my 5 boost on Tuesday. I am winding down. Under my breast hurts a bit, so they cover my breast with a sheet during treatment.
Thank God the skin under my breast is sore but not broken. My Bone Scan and Thyroid Sono are both negative for cancer.
No scratch off played today, I played the megamillion instead.
Scripture reading for today is Hebrews 7 - 13.
Saturday I have nothing planned, but Sunday I will go to church.
God Bless
-
Celebrating the holidays in a few....hope all is going well with your treatment and you enjoyed a nice weekend.
-

God Bless.
-
3rd of Boost - 31/33 Radiation Therapy. Today was a very easy day of rads. I saw the RO today they wanted to know, exactly what did I use on my Breast during Rads, because the skin was intact and Health. At the end of my treat I will write about my loobing method.

Scripture reading for today is Revelation 1 - 7.

-
5/5 Boost - 33/33 Rads completed on 4/26/2011. I am so very happy to be done. When I was being examined by the sub RO, he mentioned that they will be discussing with my primary RO to see if I needed more Rads. I explained to them I will not take anymore Rads, if I have a problem I will take the breast off instead.
At this moment by breast is beginning to peel under my breast and underarm, and it hurts. I am very happy that the skin did break.
VR- it was a blast taking to you, I will pray that your shoulder surgeans be guided by the ulmighty. I will be returning to work June 1st, because I wanted sometime for myself.
God Bless.
