Anyone had breast recon with Dr. Hofer (Toronto)? Feedback?

If you have had breast reconstruction with Dr. Hofer can you let me know how your experience was? I spent the last year having breast recon surgery with him, with the exchange surgery in Nov 2010 and am looking for feedback from other women who had Dr H as their surgeon.

I am having a lot of complications with my implants, and have a LOT of pain. I had chest radiation for Hodgkin's 15 years ago, and so I am aware that radiated tissue and implants don't get along but i was not a candidate for DIEP. However, i was not informed that there could be so many complications and SO much pain. And I am finding he isn't very helpful with post-op recovery problems. I am hoping to see him again soon, for another follow up and to get some treatment suggestions for the pain = perhaps physio, massage, or pain meds which treat nerve ending pain (?). If you have had surgery with Dr Hofer, could you let me know if you thought he was attentive and if your surgery was successful? I am looking for info from women who had problems with implants after radiation, but would be happy to hear from anyone who saw Dr. Hofer.
