Mom's metastasis keep spreading

Hello,

I've been reading a lot on this forum for many years and the help from everyone has been amazing. I've never been one to post though as my experience with cancer are through my mother. I'm hoping to be able to get some help from you who are going through this.

My mom started with breast cancer about 8 years ago, it was under control for about 2 years and then it became metastatic to the liver, eventually it spread to the lung and bone (although only the liver has really given her a lot of trouble). Last week we learned it has also spread to the Pancreas, Kidneys and Possibly the colon.

She's been admitted to the hospital and will be having surgery tomorrow to insert a stent to open the Adenum (? sorry if I have the spelling wrong) and the bile duct so she can eat again (The cancer in the Pancreas is currently obstructing it from the sides).

Just wondering if anyone has been diagnosed with so many metastasis, how you're coping, and if there's anything I should hang on to in terms of treatment options (as by now, she has pretty much gone through many of them).

Also, does anyone know what the survival and prognosis would be in this case? I hate to ask that. But I'm currenlty expecting and there's nothing more I long for than to have my mother with me for many more years to come.
