For those of you on Cymbalta can you tell me your experience? I am taking effexor but I dont feel like it's working as well as it used to so my doc switched me to Cymbalta today. I wanted to know about some of the side effects before I decided to try it. Thanks!

I was effexor for years. I felt numb and I think it stopped working for me. I went off of that and started celexa. That medication made me worse. I was angry, upset and ready to punch someone. I started cybalta less than 2 weeks ago and feel much better. The first couple of days I felt dizzy but after that I have been feeling so much better, I don't know what the side effects are.

I have been cymbalta for years. It is the best drug I have had so far. I have  been on several drugs. Like Veggy said at first I felt dizzy and after that I felt much better. I highly recommend it. It helps with many things. Wish the best to you.

Thanks for your message. I feel better already. I had way more energy today and less tense and and anxious. So far no bad side effects. I take 30 mg xl is that the typical dose?

That is the starting dose. I was told to give it some time. If it starts losing its potential, call your doctor. He may have to increase it.
