Survivors who have used only alternative treatments

Blue....Unfortunately, I'm sure you are correct. Sad.....
-
Well, I was very happy with all the talk in this thread about having sex in swimming pools and then a picture of Karl Rove popped up on my screen and spoiled it all.
I was just reacting to being characterized as loving chemo and thinking all doctors are saints, which isn't true for anyone here, certainly not me.
-
BTW, Luan has taken an integrative approach and combined conventional and alternative practices, so I'm not getting the bright lines everyone is drawing here.
-
Three statements - one is true, two are false. Guess which one is true.
1. I love chemo so much I want to make out with it.
2. I am petitioning the Vatican to have my entire oncology team canonized.
3. I've had sex in a pool. With a 23 year old.
-
Sunflowers - you said
"I agree with you, I think we need a place where women who CHOOSE to have chemotherapy, and also use natural supplements can go for advice too. I've suggested a Forum called Integrative Approach - that is one that uses ALL available options."
Well this forum is called "Alternate, Complementary and Holistic" and we have every right to post here. I have previously posted the definition of Complementary here and that wasn't welcome.
With regards to this actual thread - it was about a woman with HER2+ve bc - a lot of people who have questioned chemo etc and who have posted on here are NOT HER2+ve and do NOT know how serious that diagnosis is. So they should be the ones to back off, as others like Lago and I do have HER2+ve bc and we DO know how serious that is.
BTW Luan - you say your report button has gone - well that seems to be a new feature that takes away this right from people who have been abusing the report button.

Number 3!
-
#3 is true!
-
Bluedahlia Is that your final answer? Do you need a life line?
-
Number 3.
-
Hahaha!!! You are all right! Bluedahlia wins for being first!
He was 23, a Heath Ledger look-alike, and it was a hot summer in Virginia.
I HAVE NO REGRETS! WAHOO!

-
Wow! Heath Ledger look-alike! Definitely, no regrets!
-
Sex in a pool...never any regrets.
-
Right on, Britchick, as usual. In the meantime, I'll be looking for a topic where we can actually talk aout evidence-based research we can take to our doctors for discussion.
-
sweetbean, your post was the best.ever.
heath ledger at 23...wow. we all need some of that!
-
Looks like the trigger fingers are busy again!!!
-
Yay for Sweetbean!
Sheesh .. I just had a post reported on this forum. I was hoping all the reporters had gone away or stopped. Guess I was wrong.
SusieQ .. we were writing at the same time .. did you have one reported too?
Bren
-
Sweetbean - hello from another triple positive lobular - we are VERY special.
Sue
-
I had one reported, too! But I kind of knew that it was going to happen when I decided to post it.
-
Patty .. I hope it's the same people who keep reporting so the mods can see for themselves that there are a group who are 'report happy.'
Bren
-
I think the Mods are on to them already, since some have been revoked of their right to report. Makes perfect sense for that to happen.
-
I just noticed a few posts had been removed. I can't see my home email from work anyway.
Sue
-
sweetbean: Way to turn a thread around! So if he was 23, were you a cougar? ha
-
OMGosh .. there are four or five post deleted by the community on the previous page. And it's not even a Friday.
Bren
-
Hahaha! You ladies are so funny! That was a seriously fun summer. *sigh*
Hey there, susieq - you know, I hadn't stopped to think how rare that is, but you are right. I also had IDC, but most of my tumor was ILC, which is how it got so dang big. And the Her2 was discovered after surgery (I had neoadjuvant, so I just started the Herceptin. Piece of cake, though!)
-
Sweetbean - it is VERY rare - you won't find many of us on here. I think I found out it was 0.1% of bc patients.
-
Have you been banned again Blue - WTF??????
-
Lynn18, I was 31, so kinda! He pursued me for six weeks and I just kept saying, "Oh, C'mon...he's 23!) Finally, my friends met him and looked at me and said, "HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?" (That's a quote!) So I went for it. Fun, fun, fun! And we are still friends!
And yes, I like to use humor to diffuse a situation. It's hard to argue when everyone is laughing and thinking about hot 23 year-olds!

-
Well sonovagun .. just had another one reported. What the heck is going on here.

Reporting sucks.
Sweetbeans' posts, in contrast, ROCK.
