enlarged lymph node on other side, questions

Hello my gorgeous experts - I come to you all for advice again. As some of you may have read, had a clear mammo on Tuesday, but ultra sound revealed enlarged axillary lymph node under left arm (cancer was in the right breast), biopsy scheduled for next Tuesday am. So...now that it's sunk in and I'm quietly freaking out, what could this be? Aside, of course, from the obvious. And if it is the obvious (dont even want to say the word so lets say..."Lord Voldemort"), if it is "Lord Voldemort", what does it mean? PS-the node hurts like crazy. Help please.

I really, really hope it is just an infection or something that's NOT Lord Volemort!

Nodes do enlarge for all sorts of benign reasons - my neck ones have just been huge as I had a cold.

I am so sorry you are going through this, I will be thinking of you.

I am so sorry your going throug this. It could be an infection. If could be a new bc in your other breast. If it is a single met you can still be cured if it's single spot. The GOOD news is it hurts. It almost sounds like an infection.

    Hi Adele,

I recently had a biopsy of an enlarged neck lymph node on the cancer side. Turned out benign. Hoping and praying yours turn out benign as well. Take care and hang in there.

Your nodes can a nd do get enlarged from other things besides cancer. Infections, especially, will clog them and cause enlargment. Take a deep breath, relax a bit and we'll keep our fingers crossed for you. Where are you having your biopsy done? I currently live in New City.

I had the exact same thing happen. Unfortunately it turned out to be BC. The good news (if you want to call it that) is that it was a second primary --- not mets. Hope yours is b9

I just wanted to say I'm sorry you're having to go through this.  BC sucks!!! It seems right about the time we start to relax, we get another reminder of what we're dealing with.  (((hugs)))

Hoping for good news.  Also, hoping today goes well without too much anxiety.  (Did you say coffee??? Ya, me too, except for me it's tea.)  Let us know how you are doing.  Big Hugs (((((Adele)))))

So here's the news beautiful sista's. First of all, it's NOT cancer! Happy dance!!! But what it is, is kind of bizarre...it's breast tissue with fibrocystic breast disease! Seriously, it's like I'm growing a new boob and I can't even grow a healthy one! And its under my arm! Hope I won't have to buy a bra for it. Between that and the lymphoma on the other side, could make life awkward:)

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your love and support.

Adele, I am so thankful Lord Voldemort has not returned to your life.  I laughed out loud when I read that.  I also like your quote about sparkly shoes.  My 4 year old granddaughter truly believes everything, including her shoes, looks better with glitter!

Adele, so happy for you! LOL on bra for new boob under the arm. Oh, and you mean lymphedema not lymphoma, correct? I think lymphoma is some type of cancer.

Thank goodness your news was good.  A new boob growing under your arm beat BC any day of the week.  I'd take one growing out of my forehead.

Adele, that is awesome!  A friend of mine had a "boob in her armpit".  Just one of those things that make you go "hmmmm".
