Has anyone bought a wig online
Sorry I didn't know where to post this. Has anyone ordered their wigs online? I'm not sure which sites are legit or not or where the pictures are the same as the actual. I would appreciate any websites.
I also was wondering. A lot of wigs that I have looked online that I liked states "Ebony style" or for African-American women (I am not). What is the difference in wigs? Can I still get those? Sorry for my ignorance I really don't know this one.
Thanks.

I have bought two wigs online from Lightinthebox.com They were very cheap, $30/ea and I am really happy with them.

Thanks krista! Will check it out right now

Letlet, I've never bought a wig online, but the first thing to check is the return policy. Even the best quality wig might not look a good on you as the picture - and the cheap one might be the one that suits them most.
Best of luck.

Thanks for the advice Leah, I'll make sure to read the fine print on the return policy.

I have purchased from ebay seller jennyshairsense. Much more convenient when I need a replacement than trying to find one locally.

I am a hairstylist and six years ago I signed up with hairuwear to purchase wigs for my mother after she was diagnosed with bc. Wigs can be expensive but most insurance will cover the cost of the wig for you. If you go to the hairuwear.com site you can browse the wigs, find a retailer near you, the site will not post any prices. In the last 6 years I have ordered many wigs. I have been very happy with the quality of them. I ordered synthetic wigs for my mom and they were super easy for her. They do have a return policy as long as you don't cut any tags off or cut the wig . I was diagnosed in Nov.2010 . I had a lumpectomy and just finished 35 treatments of radiation. Hope this helps.

Letlet, I purchased my wig on-line. There were only a few places in my area that sold wigs. I tried quite a few on and did not like any of them.. I finally searched on-line and went to Headcovers.com. I purchased my wig from there. It was a little longer than shoulder length, and I was very satisifed when it arrived. You may want to check out their website. NLK

I have bought all of mine on line - three expensive human hair wigs, as well as a few cheap synthetic ones just for fun.
I ordered my first wig from headcovers.com. Their service is great. I have also ordered from wigs.com and was happy with them. I ordered a lace wig from celebrity style wigs and was not happy with the service.
FYI - my first wig was a Jon Reneau (sp?) - spectacular hair. Just gorgeous.
My current wig is a Raquel Welch human hair wig. I like it a lot. It looks very natural. It is not quite the quality of the jon reneau in terms of hair, but it is very nice and has a more natural looking hair line. I got the "knockout" style. Ignore the 70s styling in the pics - it looks very pretty when toned down to a more natural style. I plan to stick with this one until I switch back to my own. I would have stayed with the reneau, but the cap size runs a bit small and it was getting difficult to fit with my hair now coming in.

I bought a wig from a local wig store, and got ripped off. The wig that arrived at the store was NOT the wig I selected. I ended up having to pay a restocking fee. A beautician told me about Paula Young wigs. I love them! I especially love that they come in sizes to fit a larger head(which I have). paulayoung.com
