Wow. thanks for posting this. I bookmarked it for next year.
-
I went last year and I am going again this year. It is worth every penny!!!!
-
Jane, do you mind if I ask how much it came out too? It states on the web site that port fees and taxes are 200+ so I'm thinking it it's pricey. I know it IS a cruise...
-
Mine came out to $929, but I have a balcony room. Window cabins and inside cabins are cheaper. Last year, 3 of us shared a window cabin and had more than enough room. The prices drop CONSIDERABLY when you add a 3rd person to the room. It is worth every penny. It's more than just a cruise because there are things planned just for us survivors with speakers and activities. We all get a gift bag and t-shirts. Last year, one of the speakers was a Dr. who gave us all a copy of his book on "New Treatments in Breast Cancer." Thankfully, I have been able to budget for the cruise, but I'd consider skipping a mortgage payment to go, it's that good! (lol)
-
I think I am going to go as well but I must see if I can roundup a roommate.
-
Shelly at the travel agency booking the cruise was able to match me with a roomate. Check with her. She will be able to help you!
-
All my friends are busy and I am not too confortable with sharing a room with a stranger.Too bad I really wanted to join you ladies.
-
Shelly found me a cabinmate. We emailed back and forth and decided that we would be a good match. We are all in this together. It never even crossed my mind that we are 'strangers.' I'm sorry that you feel that way, If you are uncomfortable with another BC Survivor maybe next year you'll be able to find a friend to travel with you. Just remember none of us chose BC as a ploy to scam anyone. This is a healing trip. I hope that you decide to join us.

Last year, I shared my cabin with 2 women I met on the BCO boards. I feel like we are sisters now. It was great! I wouldn't hesitate to share a cabin with any of the women going on this cruise.
-
I put out posts on a few threads maybe I will luck out.
-
Suzwes and I will be joining the cruise.Any other BCO ladies jumping aboard?
-
I can't wait, I'm so excited to join Mumayan and everyone else.

-
Mumayan and Suzwes, I'm glad you were able to get on board! I love forward to meeting you! Laurie
-
I look forward to meeting you too Laurie!
-
Jane you have been on this cruise before can you recomend any of the excersions offered?
-
I'm a cruise novice so any tips from experienced cruisers will be welcome!
-
Hi ladies,
I am an experienced traveler, includes cruising, and this will be my 3rd BC cruise with shelly. It is absolutely great to meet others with the same life experience, make new friends, relax, great time, laughs, drinks, dinners etc. What a way to treat yourself, meet others and have a time of your life. Also, this year we leave on my birthday, so a present to myself.
Ask any questions, hope i can answer.
-
Brena can you tell us which excersions are must see and which stops are more suited to beach lounging?
-
Mumayan,
Shore excersions are defiantely an individuals choice, there are many to choose from and varies island to island with some being duplicated. I usually choose an excersion that represents a first time, last cruise was parasailing and this one may be swinging tree to tree. Although, i have not decided. Sometimes i just stay on the ship and enjoy the solitude. First time experience with a BC sister is very memorable.
Do those activities that you have always wanted to do or thought you would never do,
enjoy,
-
I was also thinking about the swinging from tree to tree in San Juan or the horseback riding in the sea. I've signed up for the lovely island and beach tour in St Thomas. This is my first cruise so I'm open to suggestions. I'm thinking of being a bit daring and trying something new. Any ideas or anyone want to join me......let me know.
Laurie

I am thinking about snorkling with sea turtles.I have my own equipment. The St Thomas tour does sound nice as well.I am having trouble decideing what I want to do even though I would like to do them all.
-
I have only been snorkling once but I loved it. Thinking of doing that. I'm having trouble deciding too. I also want to be adventurous and try something I've never done - although I think the cruise probably qualifies
I'm so excited to be going and am on Cruise Critic daily reading about everything. Does anyone have another cruise site with reviews and suggestions?
-
We hope you all have a wonderful Spring cruise!! Sounds lovely!Best,Melissa and Team
