Hi all,

You know what..I thought cancer is a lover whom we do not want and do not accept. Just C it as a man who loves u, and chaces u and u keep ignoring 1st, then u start getting freaked out becoz u think this lover is crazy and might harm u, then u start FIGHTING...

It is a lover whom we resist, but he loves so crazly to an extent when he knows he is not welcomed then he starts fighting us and trying to turn our lives into NIGHTmares...

I am here phase 3 of the battle (staring rads) let's hope that you and I beat this ugly lover whom we do not want....

Good observations.  I also see C as this silent, unwanted lifelong companion.  Although I'm well past all active treatment but tamoxifen, I'm keenly aware that the "what ifs" have to be kept in mind as I look at my future.  I think there is value in coming to a sense of peace with what has happened to us, and what the future might possibly hold.  Make sense?

Fight on, Polyana! it's an interesting view - it's not our fault it we attract wierdos that we don't want. Now, how to shake it off??

Talking about visualization... not sure if I mentioned it before but I'm a gamer. Yes, one of those people who play World of Warcraft and Guild Wars and other games of the sort. Anyway, after my diagnostic, I would go in the game and start killing monsters left and right seeing them as cancer cells.

Hehheh, Day, that's pretty cool. :-)

Polyana, that's an interesting way to think about it.

For some reason I saw mine as little aliens, that decided to show up for a visit and see no problem with sticking around.

My joke was "Okay guys.... time to leave now... you're ruining good real estate!"

Oh, Polyana, your post makes me groan - lol!

All those guys who go CRAZY for you whom you absolutely hate and who make you feel depressed because you think there must be something about you that attracts the wrong person. Bad, bad memories. Lol and groan! Maybe your signals are mixed. Or maybe.....Maybe?!. Just as many of us have probably spent hours torturing ourselves over "what we did to cause" our cancer. Excellent analogy.

Dear friends out there...Thanks for the replies.

It's good that all of us visualize and are able to relate..this give us strength to continue and indeed WIN.

I am looking forward to finish my treatment, and indeed getting rid of the unwanted hoping it will be for ever...

    U R all in my thoughts....HUGS to U all

If i'm on a treadmill at the gym, I am mentally stamping on all the little blighters. Who knew that pre-secondaries look a bit like earwigs?? It's a great motivator, as well as watching the calories tick away.
