I feel guilty taking up people's time with my posts on myself.

My Mum first noticed a "lump" in about May 2008 but she refused to tell anybody until my Dad finally found out in June, 2010.  By this time the cancer had already spread from her breast (she only has one, she first had cancer in 1993 and had a radical masectomy) to her lungs and bone/spine. She underwent 6 months of chemo to no avail. She is currently drug-free and dealing with the cancer 1-on-1. She can barely move she's in so much pain.

I know she will inevitably die, but I just want an idea of how long she has.

I don't want to lose her.

Hi libby88, i'm so sorry that your mum has progressed to this point.  I'm sorry to tell you that no-one can tell you with any certainty how long she has.  I know this is terrible for you as it's not easy to feel so helpess in a battle such as this.  Does your mum have hospice care?  If not is it possible for you to organise this as it will help to keep her comfortable and as pain free as possible.  You are in my thoughts along with your mum.  I pray for an easy passing for your mum and peace for you

Peace, strength, love n hugs.  Chrissyb

    Hi Libby,

I just went through this with my mom, but I completely agree with Chrissy....Look into Hospice Care.  My mom had Hospice care and it was amazing, the staff and volunteers are AMAZING.  Its not home, but its the next best thing.  They will keep her pain free and comfortable.

     You're in my thoughts

    Katy
