Lucy,, sorry to hear. Her poor little mate doesn't understand. It's hard enough on us humans. -
So sorry lucy
Joan the grandchildren is what it is about ..hope dh is better...
-
Lucy - I'm so sorry to hear about your furbaby. Lost my Tigger 2 weeks before my surgery.. She was 15 years old - It helps me to remember they had a great life and will be waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge! {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}
-
So sorry about your furbaby, Lucy.
My DH took two of our furbabies to the vet on Friday. They told us it is getting time to put Buddy to sleep. I told them that if he isn't in pain and since he is still alert and active, I don't mind hand feeding him and we won't do it. Also found out Gigi has some sort of growth in her one of her mammaries. Great. It's time like these that I promise to never get another pet.
-
My nu kitten is tigger
-
Lucy, so sorry to hear about your Maltese...always loved those little pups. It must be hard...
Your other pup will be lost for awhile.Sandy, that's right...when Dh complains that I want to travel all over to see kids who don't come to see us, I tell him it's all about the grandkids.
-
Joan......guess what.....after the gkids get older and they don't come see you when they all drive.......it hurts even more....and for those you finally begin to are less...sounds awfl I know, but sometims youjust get tired of i.............and mine who are 10 minutes from me.............nothing...........not all but a few
-
G'day Thank you all for your kind words about my beautiful old doggie.. We have been reminiscing.. laughing about all the crazy things she's done over the years.
Poppy.. It's awful when you get news like that from the vet.. But I agree with you.. If Buddy is alert, and not in pain, it's not time yet.. You will know yourself when it's time..:-(
-
Lucy so sorry bout ur puppy
Ducky u r so right, my grandchildren don't drive, but dont call, say thank u, they watch whst their parents do, how they treat me. Like my dil is all about her family so my gd was the same way, me nothing. She never calls, texts, nothing, she is 16. My gd who is 19 is different, she talks to me on fb, doesn't have a phone, me either.
Hell my kids dont either. Mostly my son,
-
well
I have 3 out of 10 I can count on
Phone calls,visits the works...just 3
-
Ducky, I already practice caring less...I could be offended a dozen times a week if I let myself...
I have a job to keep me busy even though there are no meaningful relationships there...and even though DH and I have had a roller coaster of a ride for 4 decades, I do have someone in my life who is here for me.
I am very sensitive but I stopped crying a few years ago due to meds. I guess that's good.
I learned to change my expectations and it works. -
Joan.....your a wise woman.......aways good advice comes from you....maybe that will be my 2015 motto "change my expectatons"........what do you say ladies..........."our new motto at the fire"
-

Hang in there my dear Kathe!!
Good evening Goddesses,
Once again I am way behind.
Tonight I'm throwing my extra fat and flab into the fire.
I wish it were that easy to get rid of!!
-
....thanks Gma and lucy for caring. It is just some family issues that are getting me down... It's just harder somehow, even when they live further away.. too far to take their shoulders and shake em! Or to take them by the hand and walk with them. just trouble.. I talked it over with a good friend and at least i think i can sleep tonight. I hope you are ok Fire, You are sure getting to know a lot of dead people! I am sorry
-
Ducky I like that motto. Now I just need to memorize it and live by it. My feelings get hurt way to easily..
-
Ladies, I have to travel up 3.5 hours for a post op visit - they will be removing 30 stitches in my nipple today... We will go have lunch with my kids and grandkids after appt. Then spend the night at my daughter's home. Will be traveling home tomorrow. Kinda feeling like I'm coming down with something today.. hope not. Had enough with the flu and surgery.....
