-
Hey FK, me too!
-
Hi it is snowing here...fine, wet snow.
I am going to bed and hope that I don't have to get up in the morning. (not likely)
Linda, I am so glad you had a god week endBe safe everyone
-
Ok, I went back to the beginning of the thread and I see that the bonfire is symbolic here....I love that! I live in MN where the winters are colder than Mars and you can die of exposure if you're not dressed warm enough! I'm so glad we're not getting any of that snow. This winter has been really tough!
I'd like nothing more than to sit around a HUGE bonfire and stare at the flames. Always my fav thing to do when we go up north to our lake cabin during the summer .... oh my gosh, thanks for the reminder!!! I'd love melt away all those cares -- tense, achy muscles that have built up over the last 7 months since I was first diagnosed. I'd love to burn all the mountains of paperwork I printed out from the internet during countless nights desperately searching for answers; all my pages and pages of handwritten and typed notes with lists of questions to ask each doc; and all those booklets and pamphlets from the clinic, like how to treat constipation, avoid blood clots, prevent infection, and esp. the one for charting surgical drains, oh and my pain meds chart - just for starters....I can just keep them in a pile for the next fire.
~Mary

Mary.............cold in your neck of the woods.........we have snow, cold, ice, all of it........today we got minimum 10 inches....and more is coming......
Know how you feel about the mountains of paper...........would love to burn all mine too......actually some of it I have gotten rid of.....just because.....
Love having you here with us, do not love the reason you came...........we are here for you......just keep us informed and in the loop........we welcome you...........hugs.
-
Welcome bc101!
Glad to see you back FK.
Hope you're all safe and warm tonight!!
-
Welcome bc101 - I started this thread way back when. Had a brain storm in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep. We tend to toss in anything and everything including people. It makes you feel soooo much better. We also comfort each other and have fun along the way. Come back as often as you want. We are all here for you. You have to watch out for ducky and Firekracker - they are two crazy, wonderful ladies. You just never know what they are going to say or what they are going to come up with. I love them both love every much.
Linda - Sorry to hear your news. Hope the new meds work.
I am going to the eye doctor in the morning. Damn Tamoxifen is now screwing with my vision. Went from being far sighted in the left eye to near sighted. I have less than two years left on the little white pill but I so want to throw them in the fire. Hey, that's and idea. We can see how big the flames would get.
-
Good luck tomorrow jo!! The best ideas come when we can't sleep
-
it's about time u showed up on YOUR thread
I'm so sick and tired of hearing about the weather
Tv,radio, even FB,,,,that's all they talk about
Please someone start that damn fire to warm everyone up
I guess I'm the only one who loves this weather
Sorry
End of rant
Please God don't let my power go off for being bitchy!!!!!!
-
FK, it's definitely been extreme all over. It was 88 here today - very unusual.
-
Love ya back JO..............
-
Happy Valentine's Day Pinkies!
-
Happy Valentine's Day to All!!
-
update on Grayson..........doing play-doh with her sister.........progress
-
hi all and welcome Mary. Toss it all in, this fire is magical. Sometimes we have s'mores!
Jo, if we all threw in our tamox, we'd have flames a mile high. Let's do it!
Ducky - what cutie pies!
Happy Valentine's Day and TGIF! ♥
-
Thanks Badger........so wonderful to see her actually doing play-doh things..........if her body worked as great as her brain.......she would be perfect..........all in time...........
-
Good morning Goddesses!
-
-
Good Morning Goddesses,
ducky, those babies are precious!!
jo, hope your eye appointment went well.
linda, you've been on my mind - sending positive thoughts your way.
GMA & FK, I hope you're both feeling better.
Badger, always good to see you!
bc101, you'll love these ladies - they are all awesome and have been nothing but kind to me
Happy Saturday to all!!!!!
-
Slow...........hugs girlfriend.........waiting for the snow.......LOL. rain now.
-
Badger, I love the group hug fingers. Doing well here today - doing our sisters weekend - they have cleaned my house, doing my filing, painted my bathroom, ... etc! Have to go supervise, but wanted to check in to make sure you are all staying warm by the fire. Welcome bc101. Jo, Ducky, FK, Slow, and everyone else - have a good weekend and I will see you back here next week.
-
Linda...........nothing like supervising........lol.......good sisters you have...........
Snowing here right now..........this is such bullshit...........hugs sweetie....
-
Linda, glad you checked in. Is that "sisters" week end meaning your bio-sisters or a mix of sisters and friends? I am happy that you are getting help with those mundane chores... it's nice to have company too. Sending positive thoughts and prayers for your new plan.
Yes, we have all thrown some of those papers into the fire...nobody mentioned all the receipts and the darned medical bills...
We cannot throw any snow on the fire --- it would smolder and we need to stay warm.
I love the temps in S. CA...my dear friend is leaving there today after a few months of sun...going back to Atlanta which is in the 30s. What a shock....
Ducky, your grandaughters are beautiful beyond words...and in God's eyes, perfect.
Jo, hope things go back to the way they should be...you are past the half way mark. Don't throw in the drugs...you may have to breathe in the fumes. We'll pack 'em up and launch them into space.
Snow here...on top of snow on top of snow. I went out for 2 minutes then changed my mind. Am doing 3 projects at once, which assures that none will be completed. No work until Tuesday!
We canceled our drive to DC today to see DD#1 and 2 grandsons.
Stay warm everyone, unless your are warm, then keep cool

Slow - The eye appt went well and I have have a new lens on the left side. I picked up the glasses this morning and it is amazing how much better I can see. The doctor did say the problem has to do with a cataract I have starting. It is not unusual for this to happen, he just hasn't seen it this quickly. He did check my eyes for Tamoxifen toxicity and said nothing showed up - that goodness.
Joan - What a good idea. We can all put our little white pills in a rocket and send them flying into space never to bee seen again. I am way past the half way point and can't wait for the end to come.
-
Jo, my pills are yellow/tan. I would love to send them.
Jo, so you got new glasses? I hope that helps. My brother just had the first of 2 cataracts removed. At the suggestion of his son, an eye surgeon, DB also had a new lens inserted into his eye. DB is thrilled and can see better than he ever remembers. Unfortunately, for him, it was elective.
Are you wearing flip flops yet? -
linda, sisters weekend sounds like a great idea. I'm glad you have some help.
Joan, I would love to throw my medical bills into the fire - excellent idea. How handy to have an eye surgeon in the family!!
jo, I'm glad your eye appointment went well. Too bad about the cataract but it's good you didn't develop any problems from the Tamoxifen.
I think we should throw all pills into the fire - we can just wear masks until they burn.
Ducky, I'm trying to will your snow away
Edited to say: FK we miss you!
-
Love you guys..........my pill that I want to throw in is a little yellow shit called Letrozole......has ruined my life while claiming to keep me from getting another cancer.......guess time will tell if the friggin pill doesn't kill me first.
I have to send you ladies another picture of Grayson when my DIL sends it to my IPad......wait till you see what they did for her........I am thrilled.
Very icy tonight.......really froze up after the few inches we had today..........hugs

-
Hey no fair, I never received swag! Oh sorry, I did get a bottle cover on the day of my stereotactic biopsy. It's in the cab with the cat food. LOL. Love Y'all.
-
hi all and welcome Chartruse! Since we're magical Goddesses, let's blow away the snow & cold.
