The movie "Living Proof"

Hi everyone

Has anyone seen the movie "Living Proof" ?  I watched it last night and it was about how Hercepten was developed.  It focussed on Dr Slamon (I think that's his name).  Was very interesting and had Harry Connick Jr playing the Dr.  Makes you understand a bit how much goes into drug development, and how thankful I am that Hercepten was developed.

I rented it as soon as I found out I was HER2+. Gotta love the man for his dedication and his wife for sticking thru with him. And yay to Revlon....Meeting Dr. Slamon in person and shaking his hand would have meant meeting Bono in my pre BC life )

I watched the movie halfway through my chemo when I was at my lowest point and wanted to give up...it completely changed tune and gave me such hope.  I went to my last few chemo tx and the remaining 9 months of herceptin with peace in my heart and hope in my steps.

Even though I'm not HER2 positive, I was facinated by the book.  I highly recommend reading it.

I read the book and found it a little "technical" but interesting

I saw that movie on lifetime before I was diagnosed,and I remember thinking what a Godsend Dr. Slamon is.Then a few years later was diagnosed and bought the movie on amazon.I watch it every once in a while to keep me positive.
